Gap View Campground Alice Springs

Great camp ground. Power or unpowered. Walking distance to town. Behind the pub. Has two pools and a great beer garden to enjoy. A few BBQs need your coins though. Laundry has 2 washing machines at the moment more to come. Has a little supermarket just down the road as well. Can only stay 7 nights. Would recommend.

Had no problems here!! Toilet and shower were clean and lots of great hot water! Bbq, pool, bar, birds! Nightly food specials!

When my partner camped here about 3 to 4 years ago it was $6 a night and you could camp wherever you wanted. 2 years ago it was $11 a night with same conditions as below.Now for an unpowered site, without any shade or grass out in the open on hard ground and away from all amenities, it's $20 a night and you're cramped into a tiny space only big enough to park in, and away from the cooking, and bbq areas. While the powered sites are close to amenities, have shade and softer ground to put tent pegs in, close to cooking areas.I feel $20 night for bad conditions in unpowered sites is way too much, considering I've stayed at an area with power, water, close to facilities and amenities, full camp kitchen etc for$30 a night and we were away from people and had plenty of space...

Amazing value for money!$20 for an unpowered site (for the whole group) and there are benches, bbqs (pay $1 for 20 mins) and running water. The shower and toilets block are pristine and brand new - we haven’t seen so many showers in a campground in all our time travelling!The campground also backs on to the Gap Hotel which is an amazing little pub with a huge outdoor area and pool which you can use - such a rare find and definitely great value for money. Food in the pub is good too, would definitely recommend staying here while in Alice Springs!

We are mature caravaners on an extended road trip. Fortunately we rang two days ahead (demand is high in June) and got a powered site for 4 nights at an extremely good rate. The renovated amenity blocks are excellent. We had nylon matting under our awning so that was great too with regard to minimising grit tracking into the caravan. Not all sites have this. There is a cyclone fence separating the site from the Todd River and there is heavy security on site as it is in the back yard of the Gap View Hotel. The view to the range is lovely, it is very close to Heavitree Gap and the park is a couple of kilometres south of the city centre. The pub has a renovated outdoor entertainment area and you can hear what is being shown in the food and drink area. There are a generous number of BBQ areas for such a small campground and the laundry facilities are also excellent. I'd definitely stay again if visiting Alice Springs with a caravan

Good facilities, just behind a hotel and liquor store. Police is usually at the liquor store during the day and driving around the campground. Make sure you don't sleep with windows or doors open!!! People stealing stuff out of your car when you're sleeping.

Good facilities and great for a quick stop over on route. Basic campgrounds resembling somewhat of a parking lot but it does the job. Located behind The Gap Hotel & bottle shop.Had a massive portioned $15 Parma special. $35 pn powered sites / $25 pn non powered sites
