HISTORYGreenhouse Park is a 10 hectare council and community environmental project that boasts 360° views of the CBD, ocean, heavy industry, and escarpment.The park was established to focus on the issues of global warming through the greenhouse effect. The project facilities link to the community by involving schools, industry, business, environmental, and community groups with tree planting and maintenance of the site.Over 300,000 native trees, shrubs, and grasses have been planted reintroducing birds and wildlife to the park and reinforced the existing green corridor buffer between the industrial and commercial centres of the city.Benches and picnic tables

Nice walk, several bird species and native flora. Trying to eradicate introduced weeds. Uphill battle

Good location for vegetative activities and easy for maintenance tasks.
