Honestly one star is only for the bar staff. I went here because my parents said the food was great forgetting they are from the great depression era because that was what i got: a medium tbone steak which became basically a minute steak with a bone and some frozen veggies and wilted leaves as a salad". If you are going to charge me $42 for a steak

Great Sunday roast at the pub. Very welcoming experience and a range of drinks on order. Great portion size - much larger than expected. What a cosy Sunday place to pop in and have a meal! Would return for the experience!

Good food and nice pub. Great Sunday roast ($24). Short staffed for a Sunday lunch. The Sunday roast beef was tasty and a good portion. Plenty of vegetables including kale and pak choy, good Yorkshire pudding , beef was tender with nice amount of gravy. Unfortunately it was served colder than room temperature - the roast must have been cooked in the morning and not reheated before serving. We saw the food was ready and sitting on the kitchen bench for some time before it was served to us. They only had one front of house staff serving everyone at 12.30pm on a Sunday. The pork Sunday roast was also delicious. Tender slices of pork with crackling. Lamb shoulder was tender and tasty. They have a different meat on rotation each Sunday for the roastThe chicken souvlaki($22) was fantastic. Tender and well seasoned chicken thigh on skewers. The Greek salad had a variety of veggies and a tasty dressing. Pita was also warm and freshThe pub was well maintained and beautifully designed. The bathroom even had complimentary deodorant and tampons which was a thoughtful touch.

Such a bad experience Never again.A 6:30 pm friend got a chicken schnitzel served cut a piece said it smelled & tasted strange returned to hotel staff who offered it back AFTER saying the chef tasted it said there's nothing wrong we don't offer exchange/ refund. Friend refused to eat it. I had Crispy Salmon & thought it was fine until 4:30 am next morning, had acute abdominal pain & spent next 12 hours running to toilet...Extremely dissatisfied with treatment bythe hotel management who deserve no business. (Didn't even offer money back)

I had dinner here with a few friends recently. I think it was a Friday night. There was a dining area upstairs. Downstairs had rugby league matches showing.Had a beer and a pricey burger. I felt the presentation and serving size was disappointing for a twenty dollar burger. For me, I would rather have burger patch any day of the week.

This is a really good place to enjoy the Australia neighbor life place. As a Chinese, I felt really admired to them-family togetherness and friendship. This restaurant openned 120 years. Very value and memory place with generations. the chicken food is not fantastic but not bad! The steak and salad bowl is goood! And the staff is so friendly like family. Hey, go and have fan~Grad many drinks!

One of the best pubs for a meal in the north shore. A little bit pricier than other pubs, but you definitely get value for money here.We ordered the schnitzel, which was cooked the perfection, crumbled well and chicken breast was nice and juicy! Fries are great too and it’s nice to have coleslaw and garden veggies on the side with sauce included. The other dish was the surf and turf, again, the meat was cooked to perfection and a proper medium rare. The prawns were on the smaller side, but still very tasty. Can’t go wrong with the broccolini too. The sauce was a bit overpowering, so we barely touched that, the steak is so good on its own you don’t even need the sauce.

Attended a birthday party in Willoughby hotel. The food was great. Venue was cool and ladies at the bar were very nice and polite. The whole package was on the expensive side though

A very large and semi upmarket suburban pub.Friendly staff with quick service.Perhaps an improvement in the noise reduction required. Hard to have a conversation when the general bar area is busy on a Saturday afternoon.
