LS Merchants

we had sooooo much fun at our wine tasting at LS Merch, I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the staff member who was leading the tastings that afternoon but it was on Sunday the 11th on June. I left with new knowledge about wines that I wouldn't normally absorb because of the language used during standard tastings but LS Merchants was non pretentious and easy to understand.

Whilst the service was quite good with friendly staff and in a nice location, we paid $15 each for a wine tasting and we were limited in the wine we could taste from as the nice bottles were not worth opening for us. Based on that we would have liked to buy a bottle of wine, which if we had loved the reserve bottle we would have definitely purchased however they would not open it for us to taste, instead suggesting we should purchase for $85 without tasting it. Usually the cost of the tasting will come off the bottle price so we would have bought a bottle of the white, however this was going to be added on top of the tasting price. We left quite disappointed.

Love the non-pretentious and down to earth vibes this winery has. Sophie was an amazing and friendly host who taught us a lot about their natural wines. She also gave us good recommendations on places to eat around the area too.We bought 10 bottles here. 100% recommend this winery.

We really enjoyed our visit to LS Merchants. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe was relaxed and the wines were bloody great. We went to a few wineries whilst in the area and this was definitely our favourite. Also love that they have a little local recommendations list of other wineries/restaurants in the area. They do charge for tastings but so do all of the wineries these days so I think it's reasonable. They were very accommodating to us non white wine drinkers and did reds-only option for half the price. Definitely worth a visit.

My fiancé and I had a lovely experience at LS Merchants. We found the alternative atmosphere refreshing. Sophie was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable.

What an incredible little place! Sophie was 10/10, so fun and knowledgeable - really made the experience! Beautiful wines in a lovely atmosphere. Dog was super cute too!

Beautiful place. Very picturesque. Declan was informative, charming & an interesting host. We loved our experience with LS. Wines hard to resist, they truely are delicious. A credit to the wine makers craft. A must visit, highly recommended. Only took one point off as we didn’t feel it appropriate that all 3 of us together spent over $500 & still had to pay $15 per person on top of that for tasting. We get that you’d have to pay should you not purchase as per other wineries in the area. Perhaps even a bench mark of amount spent to cap a no tasting fee.

Interesting variety of wine. Not pretentious or stuffy. Great setting. Knowledgeable staff. Worth going a bit off the beaten track. One of the best in MR!

We loved our delightful tasting, the wine is all delicious and Sophie was fantastic. She told us lots about wine but not in a twaty way, highly recommend. Also, Sophie, when you're in London go to Hackeny and Dalston and also go to Peckham. Frank's is a rooftop bar where you get mega views of London without the bankers and pricey cocktails. Enjoy!

Whilst LS Merchants wines are accessible through wine shops and restaurant/bar wine lists, it's always worth a visit to the cellar door to see and hear what makes them tick.The atmosphere here is very casual and relaxed, with both indoor and outdoor seating. For $15 per tasting, one of the friendly staff members will walk you through a decent range of wines. It's immediately apparent that they don't take themselves too seriously, with wines that are fun and interesting. Case in point, the Die Berghain Riesling, Breakfast Juice and Butter Barrels.But then you also have the 'Jolliffe Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional, which remind you that the winemaker is no dilettante and takes his craft very, very seriously.
