Can't quite understand why there are so many bad reviews. There were 4 staff when I popped in, and all of them seemed very friendly and keen to help customers. The officer that served me was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with.The only issue I have is it seems if you lease a PO box, you have to come back a second time to collect the key, because the key is presumably stored in the PO box suite in the car park and they have to collect it from the suite downstairs.This seems a bit strange, as you can't apply for a PO box lease at the PO box suite (there is a service window, but it's only staffed briefly to collect oversized parcels), so one would think logically, the keys should be stored in the retail outlet upstairs.A similar setup exists in Box Hill, where the post office is located in the shopping centre, but the PO boxes are located in a separate location about 200 metres down the road which only has a parcel collection window. Yet they store the keys in the retail outlet, so that you can collect your keys at the same time as arranging a PO box lease.

I'm actually very pleased with the service at this shop. Laurie was very patient and helped us with our express post. I'd rate them 5 stars.But I'd rate less than 0 to Auspost in general. We opted for express service as we were sending some important documents. However, for whatever reason the ink in the To section got smudged and they'd to return it. They left the packet in the wet mailbox and all our documents were damaged. Now we will have to go through a long arduous process to get all that done. Please train your delivery staff. Actions like these are costing us a lot.

Just had a lovely experience from Eastland Auspost today that made my day. I was not an easy customer, where I had to go back a second time and change the photos of an application that was already sealed and ready to go, due to my fault. Thank you Claire for being so efficient, friendly and most importantly for your understanding. Generally I get really good service from Auspost but what I received today is just exceptional.

It's probably the most unfriendly post shop I've ever visited. Had to argue more than a few times as they just decline things for something they shouldn't make that call. It'd often work out better to use the parcel locker downstairs.

This is not my first negative experience in this post office.Today, staff failed to their one duty and only duty. That being to maintain organisation of a fair and orderly system of service.As I lined up to wait for service, a single mother waited ahead of me. I had noticed it was pretty peaceful and not too busy for once.While we waited for the service assistant this lady in front lady left her baby & pram momentarily to grab something from the stand only metres away.I had no problem with this and honoured her position in the line (as any rational person would do). At this time we were the only two people there and it was not busy.Within a very short minute or two, the customer service assistant had finished up and was now looking for the next person to serve.It was only within a few milliseconds that I noticed and impatient senior citizen was behind me on her mobility scooter and was immediately disgruntled at the 0.5 second delay.As I turned around, I told her this first lady was here before me while she made her way back to the front of the line. (The post office is only about 4m wide so she wasn’t far away.)Before anything else, without any consideration the old lady moves her scooter forward rapidly, aggressively pushing ahead of me and the first lady and races to the desk.At this moment I voiced my position out loud to the staff from where I stood. I asked the staff to please not to serve this lady before us as it was not at all fair and shortly explained. The senior lady began rambling away.Staff were clearly shocked but I could see they had understood what had happened.None the less, they failed to do anything apart from stare blankly at me and the single mother to avoid responsibility although, it was apparent, they were completely aware of what had occurred.While I was clearly annoyed it took only seconds until I was met by a distracting floor staff member who he acted to hear my point of view .. it was clearly only to disarm my dispute.As he listened, he promised to have me served right away and moved me immediately to a newly opened spot a the desk with another customer service attendant.Fortunately for the irresponsible other members of staff this worked, as I did not want to cause a scene with the focus being this senior citizen (although it probably was completely warranted). So I just picked up what I came for and left.Having said this, It was was highly unprofessional and an appalling demonstration of the mismanagement I've received previously.They acknowledged the old ladies antisocial behaviour and instead of doing the right thing to rectify the situation, they awarded her by giving her priority.I can’t help but wonder that if the lady ahead of me had not been Asian, would the staff have cared more?Either way, completely unacceptable in any circumstance.I’d give 0 stars if that were possible.
