I’ve been here twice and it’s been amazing both times, staff are friendly and service was quick. The food was great and the Mac and cheese is a must have side dish. Great value for money.

We have been here a handful of times and every single time we have been served an absolutely fantastic food and generally have good customer service.Unfortunately our last visit (Sunday lunchtime) we were reminded about the 90 minutes reservation when we arrived and then were advised 75 minutes in, that we only had 15 minutes of the reservation left and then we were offered takeaway containers. This was explained to us while everybody at the table were still finishing meals. The way it was explained certainly put pressure on everybody to finish meals and drinks as soon as possible and it just generally turned our experiences from a great family lunch to feeling pushed out the door so more revenue could be raised.Perhaps the 90 minute table reservation time needs to be reconsidered.

Food was amazing and customer service really welcoming for us first timers. I love the online system ordering from the table using the restaurant iPad.The only constructive feedback I would have is that we would love to table seating to be a little longer, our sitting was only 1.5hr and the food took a while to come out, by the time we were half way through our mains the waitress gave us the 20mins left notice. So, probably 2hrs seating would be fantastic as we would of had the time to have desert. Regardless was a great experience and we will come back. Thanks guys.

Phat Boyz is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner (and breakfast on weekends!) It has an industrial decor and a bright feature mural on one wall. We enjoyed a kids brisket slider meal, smash burger, Mac Daddy beef burger, steak sandwich and a crispy chicken salad wrap. All meals were extremely tasty and fresh (the smoked meats are tender and juicy) and the chips were incredible. We also enjoyed milkshakes on the day. Just note the kids brisket and popcorn chicken have a little kick, so if the little ones are fussy try the pizza instead.

Was there last night, food was really good, bit cold outside as we were seated on the edge with all outdoor heaters in the middle of the outdoor seating area no heat was getting to us. Main issue is the 90 min turn over, all good to have that, however it shouldn't be a 45+min wait for food then. Spent at least half the reservation waiting for food rather than enjoying it. If food was out by the 30 min mark sure an hr of enjoyable food and conversation is enjoyable.

Let's begin on a positive note: the food at the restaurant was absolutely outstanding. Our party of six gathered for breakfast, and every single person had nothing but praise for the delectable dishes. However, regrettably, the service failed to live up to the same high standards. Although our reservation was scheduled for 10:15 am, we were informed upon arrival that the kitchen would be closing at 10:30 am. Instantly, we felt a sense of urgency imposed by the staff to quickly place our orders.One member of our group inadvertently missed requesting maple syrup for their meal, which subsequently became quite a hassle to rectify after the order had already been placed. We were instructed to add the syrup through a tablet, but there was no available option to do so. Realizing this, we had to ask the staff for assistance in including a side of maple syrup with our order. Even then, they appeared uncertain about how to proceed. Eventually, the issue was resolved, and we did receive the syrup.The food arrived promptly, which was a definite plus. However, considering there were only our table and one other occupied, we had anticipated swift service. As mentioned earlier, the food itself was fantastic, except for the initial two plates brought out that lacked the requested extras, necessitating our intervention to request them separately.Unfortunately, the entire experience left us with the impression that we were an inconvenience to the staff. Once again, I want to emphasize that the quality of the food was exceptional. It is just disheartening that the rushed atmosphere and the feeling of being an inconvenience overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

We have been twice now and both times enjoyed such a great atmosphere! Customer service is incredible, warm, friendly and genuine. Food and drinks on our table in minutes, despite being very busy.Staff made my partner and I feel so welcomed.Looking forward to becoming regulars!

Came here for dinner with the kids and loved itFamily friendly atmosphere with a chill vibe. I love how spaced out the tables are and the large outdoor area.We ordered a platter for two and there was so much tasty food. We couldn't finish it (as much as we wanted to). Worked out well as our preschooler had the Mac and cheese.The service was top notch as we were regularly checked whether everything was going well.Great selection of drinks and there was a great cider special.For quite some time I have had this place on my list to visit when we come to Ipswich (from Brisbane) and I'm so glad we did.Highly recommend this place

Great food, just a pity about the flies and not being able to purchase basic bottled or taped beers and being a Sunday afternoon a band or something would have been welcome as the atmosphere was missing. Had two share platters between 3 or us plus a few drinks and cost $270. Rest of menu the price seemed very reasonable. Photo was taken after we had eaten most the brisket and a few wings which were both excellent. Plenty to take home for supper
