Another one of Benalla's gemstones. The 7yo is a Ned Kelly fan. So seeing the Kelly Display and his green sash was a highlight for him. They also have wartime displays (honoring the likes of Weary Dunlop) and a huge model dolls house. Brilliant. Worth the trip.

An amazing collection of gowns, accessories and memorabilia. Well worth a look. Love the old cell. The model tiger moth aircraft in the war services room is a replica of the real one currently housed at Benalla Aviation Museum. Very highly recommended.

It’s cute, I liked the mini suburban house, World War souvenirs and the Ned Kelly possessions. But the rest of the vibe is kinda, well you can judge for yourselves.

Exhibits focus on Ned Kelly; a personal dress collection warn by a local eccentric; “weary” Dunlop and the war. Lots of excellent Tourist Info. Very helpful staff. Lovely building.

Could someone help. I went through Benalla in 1991 & there was a Ned Kelly museum in an old small building. I spoke with the old gentleman who looked after the museum for 2 hours about the Kelly family etc. Does anyone remember the name of this man? He was ex RAAF during WWII

Good museum.GREAT Kelly gang display with Ned Kelly's Green Silk Sash on show which was awesome to see.Joe Byrne's close replica armour on display as well was really good.
