Bruthen Tearooms
Bruthen Tearooms are a lovely stop as you pass through Bruthen. The lady who runs the shop is friendly and makes some of the tastiest toasties going. My Reuben sandwich was packed full of flavour from the homemade sauerkraut and Russian sauce. The owner also makes many award winning jams. We tried a couple on some scones and they were delicious. Do keep in mind that the shop only opens on weekends and that there is no eftpos. It is a very old-school place so expect to wait times to be slow as you enjoy the beautiful building and surrounds.

Tried to stop for coffee and scones but were CLOSED. Sign outside says open Weekends and Public Holidays. I have suggested a edit to listing.But from outside it looked good so most disappointed they were closed...were looking forward to fresh scones with coffee.

Stopped for lunch 3 adults. Sandwiches made to order were OK. Scones with jams and cream OK. Service from check in, taking order delivery of food very ordinary. This is being polite. This is not a place you would stop for a quick meal. Would not return

Stopped here for a bite to eat after a hike. The chicken, cheese, rocket and chutney sandwich was delicious and the scones with home made jams - yum. They have the jams for sale so you can buy your favourites . Definitely worth a visit. Opening hours 1000-1600 Sat and Sun only as per the owner

I would detour any roadtrip through Eastern Victoria through Bruthen just to get a taste of their mouthwatering jams, marmalades, chutneys, slaws, soups & sandwiches. Everything has a homemade (with love) taste. Lots of attention to detail and passion goes into the food and the very cute/cozy setting. An absolute gem. 10 out of 5 stars! Can I bathe in their cream???
