Golden Dragon Palace
Pretty good yum cha option for the eastern suburbs.All your standard yum cha dishes are here, in general the portions are nice and large, my favourites were the chicken feet, the spare pork ribs and the silken tofu dessert.My two biggest issues would be the price, wasn’t the cheapest lunch we had. There was 6 of us in our group and roughly worked out to be $60 each. Not cheap at all. The other issue would be the parking, which appears to be non existent.

Absolutely loved the Yum Cha at Golden Dragon Palace!Note that you must book to ensure you get there for one of their two seatings (11:30-1:00 or 1:30-3:00).The variety of dishes is great and every single dish we had tasted amazing!The service was also great — all staff were very friendly and happy to explain the ingredients of each dish for us.The interior is also very beautiful with some remarkable wooden carvings.We paid $120 for 2 people, which I find very pricey for yum cha, but we left feeling happy and satisfied, so we’ll definitely be back!

Golden Dragon Palace
Friends took us to this restaurant and the experience blew my mind! From the outside I could already tell the authenticity of the place and eventually food quality. Might be looked at as the typical chinese restaurant, but once you got in, sat down and enjoyed the food, it's then one of the best Chinese (or Cantonese I'd say) restaurant. For some reasons I feel those good restaurants are on the suburbs :) Attentive and amazing service as well. Recommended!!

If you are craving for yum cha in eastern suburb, the dim sum here is heavenly especially the scallops. There’s a reason this place has been busy over the years. Highly recommend to book in advanced especially on the weekend.

Food wise probably not the best Yumcha in Melbourne but still decent.Service is far from friendly. Ex: “Are you eating or not, we close at 3.” Or took away the dishes we hadn’t finished without even asking. I don’t have high expectation to service when it comes to yumcha places but this is another level.Most likely won’t return.

Amazing decor and spacious atmosphere. We had dinner and staff was polite and attentive. We tried the roast duck, free range chicken, seafood & mushroom pot, sweet and sour pork, deluxe fried rice and they were all fantastic. Excellent place for large gatherings

A staff named John was helpful and courteous. He knew what we wanted exactly and recommended us seasonal dishes, explaining their suitability for our palates. The red wine “Pinot Noir” he chose for us was perfect and matched well with the dishes we ordered. The meal was exceedingly delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
