We stayed in apartment 3C. Looking at earlier reviews it is obvious to me that the owners and management do not care about feedback or ensuring a safe environment for guests. Some apartments are renovated, most are not... yet the room charge is the same for both. We must have been given the worst in the complex. We had to wash all cutlery and crockery in the dishwasher prior to using them as they were all greasy, with old food particles stuck to many items. Lipstick stains were also present on several wine glasses. Even the tv remote was greasy and grotty. The clothes dryer continued to run with the door open and the powerpoint would not switch off!! This was the same as the powerpoint in the kitchen closest to the stove. Massive safety issue! The room was old and stunk of dust and a smell I can't explain in the second bedroom, like old rubber that stuck to the inside of your nose... not pleasant to sleep in a room like that. The carpet was filthy and floor rug in the lounge room appeared to have dog hair through it.The ensuite spa was useless and only made a massive mess when used, the vents in the bathrooms were full of dust... another massive safety issue! The tv was tiny and the only air con was in the lounge room, nothing in the bedrooms (unlike most of the other apartments). We tried to lock the glass door in the second bedroom on the first night, only to find the whole lock was broken and likely had been broken for quite some time. One of the dining room chairs gave way during our stay and almost caused an injury, due to the old flimsy metal legs. The spa downstairs has 4 jets but the water only appeared to be jetting out of 2 at any given time, which meant water was rushing through 2 jets and splashing all over your face while sitting in the spa. I can only imagine how dangerous that would be for a child or small adult. So much more I could add here but will just finish it with....definitely would not stay here again and to be honest I should have sought a full refund.

Do not travel here with kids, I have 3 kids who I recently traveled here with, they where all well behaved and just wanted to have fun together and enjoy their holiday, they where being loud and splashing at the pool area and in the games room, nothing to unreasonable no screaming or shouting just being kids. This hotel was full of old people who where all on holidays and complained about our kids multiple times for just being kids, we where called and spoken to and threatened to be kicked out for our kids just enjoying the pool and games room. We got along with everyone but their was multiple grumpy old people and a sour receptionist who seemed to have an issue with us.

Early August 2022 we travelled from NZ for a 2 weeks stay. We had to cancel our booking in 2021 due to borders closed and were very pleased that we got a credit to return in 12 months time. We originally had a booking for a 2 bedroom Superior but rebooking we were told that there was only a 2 bedroom standard available so I took that. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised to be told we were upgraded to an executive 2 bedroom 4D. Feeling very excited to be told we were upgraded, was a huge let down when we walked in the apartment. It was grubby, items from previous guest were left in drawers and used tissues were on the floor of the wardrobe also the lights were not working in both bathrooms, plug not working in the ensuite hand basin, and the shower in the main bathroom was just a dribble. Also surprised with no pool towels supplied and with our long stay we were only given 1 towel each and 1 hand towel between 2 people. When we asked for more towels we were going to be charged $5 for each extra item. The place is very old and needs a thorough clean. The positives are, a great floor plan of the apartment and a great location, close to shops and bus stops and the indoor pool was amazing and easy access. The spa pool jets were far too strong though, quite dangerous. We would not ever go back to this place.

Booked in Sept 2022 for 5 nights. Our son got very sick the night before. Called to cancel the booking, but was advised there is a no refund policy. Far enough and offered a 6 months credit. But, we explained we won't be able to get to the Gold Coast within that time. Due to the fact my husband and I never get time off work together. It took us 1 year to organise these dates do we were both off work together.Checked the next day out of interest if the apartment was available, but it wasn't. So, obviously booked by someone else.So the management/owner have our money and the money from others that booked our apartment.Fair enough there is a no refund policy, but show some compassion. Our son was on the lounge very sick for a week.Never booking with them again. We just want a refund and compassion

The negatives: The units need updates. The hotwater supply isn't sufficient for the spa bath to be filled, the spa bath also is an older style air flow system that blows cold air in to the bottom of the bath. So you can't have a nice long soak in the tub followed by a quick shower to rinse off as the hot water system takes hours to reheat. Bathroom is internal, no window with views (I guess the master bathroom picture is taken from the penthouse even though its shown to be part of the 2 bedroom standard unit)The unit hadn't been cleaned properly prior to check in, dirty foil left in the oven. Some dirty cutlery left in draws, under the beds in the 2nd room you can see the base losing its lining all over the carpet, thick dust on the air vents, fire systems and decor, TV was 32inch with a 19inch in the bedroom, not the 40+ inch ones shown in many of the photos,After reporting issue with tv, Maintenance guy knocked on door next morning, then proceeded to let him self in. Very big privacy issue. The positives, beds were comfortable, recliner lounges, great indoor and outdoor pool areas, it's sad that all units are individually owned rather than totaly managed by the building, as the buildings facilities are very nice, yet let down by the room we stayed in.Rather disappointing for the price.

I have stayed here over 20 times now, from when I was a child with my parents and now with my own family. The location, views and indoor pool can't be beaten. Over the last few years we have found the rooms to be a bit hit and miss, as mentioned in other reviews. I feel a certain standard definitely needs to be enforced on owners who want to keep their properties in the hotel letting pool. The room we had this year was good, the owners really have it set up as a great holiday home for families. Looking forward to our stay next year already.

Having stayed at this venue regularly for the past 23 years, we have seen a vast change. It is great seeing the place looking clean and tidy again. Our room was fantastic with modern amenities and comfy beds. It is obvious the owners of this rental unit understand what is expected as it can be a hit and miss with some units.

I was so excited about staying here because the view is spectacular and the location amazing...however that excitement became disappointment pretty fast. Upon arrival our room was not clean and we complained to reception. A cleaner came up to look and agreed it was not to a satisfactory standard. Kitchen cupboards, benches and bathrooms were dirty and grimy. We found a glob of chewing gum on the dresser in the bedroom. She came back and cleaned it for us and we were grateful for that but it should have been clean already. The apartment was extremely run down and not a 4 star standard as advertised. Curtains and lamp shades were torn, carpets stained, walls grimy, there was calcium build up and rust on bathroom fittings and the walls and windows in the bathroom were covered in black mould!!!! which is a health risk, especially as we suffer from asthma! There was paint peeling off the walls, cracked tiles which our children could cut their feet on and the mirror wardrobe door would not open in the 2nd bedroom and nearly fell on us when we tried to open it. Kitchen door fell off and crockery was inadequate including blunt knives that wouldn't cut through anything. The indoor pool was cold. I called before I booked to check the indoor pool would be heated and was assured it would be. We informed the manager and were told the heater in the pool was broken and we could use another pool 10 mins down the road. We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The manager was apologetic and felt bad, but was unable to offer us another room as the hotel was fully booked. Nothing else was offered. She said as these rooms are privately owned it's hit and miss as some owners don't maintain or update the apartments. To me this is false advertising and we should not have been charged a high rate for this terrible apartment, especially as it's a health risk. It should not be rented out at least until the mould has been removed. Sadly we are unlikely to return.

The room we had on level 21 was great with 270 degree views from the mountains to the sea and north to Surfers Paradise. A really large apartment and well appointed and modern. The basement parking was tight and hard to navigate with a large car but they weren't all like that. The building arrival access was a bit tough as we had to park, get a shopping trolley to load our bags and then push it through the basement carpark and up a ramp to get to the elevators. But a small inconvenience for a great stay.
