While the park is small and not richly endowed with facilities, the main drawcard are the Bellbirds that inhabit the forest there. The air was alive with their sounds. We were there to plant trees along the Mary Valley Rail Trail which passes through the area and celebrate 1 year of planting (2500 trees).

Sound of the Bellbirds is soothing to the soul.

Well worth stopping to hear the bellbirds and the co-habiting whipbirds and to meet the inquisitive yellow robins. However, the local council has long since stopped maintaining the area, and no facilities: no tables, no bins, no toilets. And there is no interpretative signage: but there could be. Leaving the Imbil-Brooloo Road at this point offers appealing short and long circuit drives through the forestry.
