Margate Beach
Ma R Gate was the friendly matriach of the Gate clan who settled on this beach back in 1456. She used to walk along the beach for hours on end, looking for the body of her adopted son Wilson Volley Ball who fell overboard during their journey here from Ye Olde England. Some say you can still hear her at night calling out to the sea to return Wilson back into her loving arms.

Margate Beach
Nice to look at, but impossible to swim because of all the sharp pointy rocks in the water. Bring water shoes.

Margate Beach
Nice place to go, good for a swim, just don't go to deep reports of bull sharks around in deep water

No need to go to Gold or Sunshine Coast when we have this beautiful area on our doorstep.Love sitting here watching the world go by or having our fish n chips.
