The Grand Halls Gap

To start this off, the staff I dealt with were lovely. There is so much potential in this stay, but we can't deny the obvious of the building. Its old, it has a homey feel but it definitely needs some work. There are renovations happening which is a good sign. Its in a perfect location. If you aren't going to be in your rooms for much of your stay if recommend. I think its a bit pricey for what you get. Lights didn't work, what I booked didn't match the room I was given. There's a cool communal area but it can be inconvenient if people stay up late being noisy as for the rooms next to it. I'm glad a bought ear plugs as I could hear the next room snoring as the walls are paper thin. Like I said, perfect location and heaps of potential to the place and I'm sure over time it will get there.

Stayed in budget room. Fully renovated room, very clean, comfortable bedding with good air conditioning. Good for couple of nights. Hotel building itself is aged with work in progress. Common shared facilities include a kitchen, fridge and lounge. Walkable to most of cafes, restaurants and super market. Parking available Infront of hotel and on side street.Excellent customer service.

Value for money. Very affordable work in progress located in heart of town. People who give a low rating have plenty of other places to stay in town for 3 to 8 times this price. Be kind to locals having a go renovating this historical old beauty. Rome wasnt built in a day and the price is extraordinarily fair.

Terrific pub style accommodation above the tavern, big communal lounge with seating and pool table. Will be back!

Good food. Good prices. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. My partner and I couldn't reccomend this place enough :)

This place is 5 stars! the reception guy was so friendly. went there for the weekend. the room was very clean, it even had a spa BATH! what ! and the price was super affordable. the guy was so helpful and lended us many things, showed us around. I love the atmosphere here. lovely people. has everything you need. It is also the perfect location! close to everything

Very friendly staff, I recieved fantastic service and enjoyed my time spent here with my daughter. All the meals that others had ordered looked amazing. I should of got the lamb shank. Next time. Great for families, couples, singles and friends, nice feel outside. Great views.

Is staying in unfinished rooms a thing now?Unfinished tiling, half painted walls, patchy carpet, temporary shelves and camp tables for sideboards is unacceptable! Walking into a room with a broken toilet seat that was seemingly like that for over a week, as the manger mentioned. i had to ask 3 times for it to be fixed.Did I mention the dirty shower, bathroom and carpet! At least the bedding was clean.If that wasn’t bad enough the paper thin walls and doors provide no privacy or peace and quiet to be able to sleep!There is also safety issues with the balcony and the number of chairs and table making access difficult.I could go on but there’s no point, I think you get the picture?

Rooms were partially renovated and still a work in progress. Some lights didn't work. Rooms were noisy and directly adjacent to the bar/dining room. Bag pipes playing convention until 11pm. Rooms were clean though.
