Booloumba Creek Day Use Area
Great spot for lunch, a swim and exploring the nearby tracks and visit the nearby Gold Mine. We arrived at 12 noon on a Sunday and the carpark was pretty full. There were lots of families swimming in the creek and eating food at the many picnic tables provided. There is a public toilet nearby and a couple BBQs provided. By 4:30pm there was only a family of 3 left and a couple 4wds. You will need a 4wd to get to this area as there are a few creek crossings to pass. Water was not very high. Have been here before, will come back again.

Fantastic! Took the family for a late afternoon swim and was amazed at the scenery and the crystal clear waters of the creek. The river rocks are amazing in colour and the kids spent hours building rock pools to sit in and dams to blocks the creek. Toilets are close by and you can camp overnight with the correct permits. The water was so refreshing after a hot day. Fantastic place for a family get away just minutes from Kenilworth. Put this on your list of places to visit.

Booloumba Creek Day Use Area
Great facilities, pet friendly with and off leash area, a shop, and a lot to do for the kids.Toilets were clean, showers hot, powered sites, fires pits and firewood, ice available and feed for the deets and goats. This place is quite luxury as far as camping goes. The caravan sites were jammed on top of each other, but the camping availability was plentiful, and campers were generally pretty spread out. Also situated in a nice little creek (which was muddy water, but flowing and swimmable.

Beautiful spot to have a cold relaxing swim.Very kids friendly and beautiful surroundings. The better spots you can only access with 4wd as you have to cross the river. Guess you just have to.pick the best times as it can be very busy.

This place WAS a paradise. It’s sadly now a party spot for p plater bogans who play loud and quite terrible music til 3am and dump their rubbish bags along the side of the road on the way out. I also saw people fishing !(it’s a national park) throwing rocks at goannas and feeding bread to kookaburras. I think on weekend a parks and wildlife officer needs to do a few rounds to keep it nice for people who just want to enjoy nature.

Amazing spot! Need a 4wd for the river crossings. it’s still possible to reach the first crossing via any small car, you can then park and walk into the Booloumba creek day use area. It’s probably a 30-45 min walk

Booloumba Creek Day Use Area
Good area and high 4x4 preferred as 2 x Creek crossings that could be high at times. Campsites are either in shade (good for summer) or on a slope with very few level at all. Only camp 4 suitable for vans etc with 2 being day use only (another creek to cross twice) with 1 and 3 suitable to tents. Travel the Kenilworth scenic drive from here, 4x4 on dry road only on this circuit.
