Absolutely fabulous evening. Candlelight tribute to Queen. The string quartet was amazing. Would definitely go again.

On January 22, 2022 our daughter and son in law celebrated their marriage with a Wedding Party (reception) at 48 Watt St.The support, organisation, assistance and co-ordination provided by Jason and the team before the day was exceptional.Friday night the tables and venue were set up for us to decorate and there were members of the team readily available to help or provide ladders etc as we needed. Just brilliant.On the Saturday night we were treated to superb food, fantastic service and seamless processes which meant the night was just perfect.When the time for the bar to stop arrived Jason approached me as to what i wanted to do which was simple process of paying for a few more drinks with a bar limit. Which was not reached!!Sunday was clean up morning and again the support and assistance, as well as ease of access and movement was exceptional.Jason and the 48 Watt St team are outstanding and I fully recommend them as THE standard.

There are surprisingly few wedding venues to recommend within Newcastle itself, but 48 Watt St is definitely one of them. The location is amazing in the centre of town and being an old church, provides a completely unique feel compared to anywhere else. Being able to have the ceremony and reception here together is an awesome feature. Parks, beaches, the harbour and plenty of other great photo spots are within a block or two's walking distance. If you're looking for a Newcastle wedding venue this should be on your list.

We had the pleasure of getting married at 48 Watt Street 18/09/2022, it was literally a dream come true.The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff were amazing, and man they sure know how to help throw a great party.I could not fault any part of the day or night.Thank you for everything!Caity & Dave x

I went with my parents, partner and friends to the HogWatts night. It was absolutely incredible and so far exceeded our expectations. We expected it to be good, but honestly, it was AMAZING.There were so many fine details and well thought out factors that just added to make the night so immersive. It was incredibly atmospheric and one of the best experiences/events in Newcastle. We have all agreed we will be coming back next year and bringing more people. And after seeing the quality of event that they put on we are very keen to go to other events at 48 Watt, including the Bottomless Brunch & 48 Shades. And I think I would like to book the venue for my next big birthday!We bought the VIP experience which was well worth the money. You arrive an hour earlier than everyone else and are greeted with a mug of Butter Beer in Hogsmead. Then you move to the potions classroom where you wait and can take some photos. Hagrid popped his head in & eventually McGonagall took us to the great hall.The great hall is impeccably decorated. The effort that they have gone to here was unbelievable. And there are soooo many details to explore. From the drinks menu featuring Unicorn Blood & Armortentia to the Moaning Myrtle soundtrack in the girl's bathroom.Now, the actors, oh my goodness! They were fantastic! They stayed in character the whole time and you could actually interact with them. Honestly, it felt like we were at a LARP, that is how immersive this experience was.The food was also delicious and I'm glad we got the extra course as part of the VIP experience.Seriously, I cannot express enough how fantastic Hog Watts was. And I know this kind of event is a lot of work, so seriously, well done to you all!

Amazing venue. Great style and great food

Came for the HogWatts experience, and it was very well done, the venue was stunning and the actors were in character the whole time. Food was delicious, but too small for dinner, left us feeling hungry. Parking was hard to get nearby, even at night.

Candlelight Vivaldi..lovely evening. Really enjoyed the music and the venue, will definitely go again.

The perfect venueWe had our wedding at 48 on 12/2/22, the venue is amazing. We were able to have our ceremony, post ceremony/pre reception drinks and the reception all at the one venue. This was really important to us because most of our guests were coming from out of town, and the location allowed for our guests to stay wherever they wanted to in Newcastle.The Well is a great little area to relax after the ceremony and mingle with the guests and the main reception area is stunning. We had ~120 guests and the venue look after almost everything for the set up (we just went with simple design using the venue's own tables and chairs) and it looked great!The staff are incredible as well; Katie was really easy to deal with and helped us plan out the day, Jason was unreal going above and beyond in the lead up to, and on the day to make sure our needs were met, that we had all of the drinks to match the occasion and that the guests were well looked after.Food and drinks were great, so many of our guests have commented us on how delicious the food was, and how nice the wines were (thanks Jason for revamping the selection!)Thanks guys so much you really helped make the day special, we will have to come back to The Well for dinner soon.Couldn't recommend 48 Watt St enough, it was perfect.

48 Watt Street is one of our favourite Newcastle wedding venues! Your photos will look great, plenty of space to dance and it’s located in the heart of Newcastle NSW. You can also have the ceremony and reception on site. This is super convenient. 48 Watt Street is a must-see if you're getting married in Newcastle!
