Squatters Homestead Motel

I had to make a last minute booking and they were just marvellous! The rooms are immaculate, beautiful and smell HEAVENLY. The rooms have everything needed for a stay and the snacks and minibar are truly amazing! Trudy and Pete are the ultimate hosts - charming, generous, helpful and a riot! Just booked for my next trip up and looking forward to seeing Trudy and Pete, even though I've only met them once for a 1 night stay!

Pete and Trudy were terrifically friendly and the place was well-maintained! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in for a long time. A short walk to the creek and right next to the supermarkets. Despite being on the main road, there was no road noise into my unit (room 6) at night and the heavy curtains blocked out most of the sunlight from coming into the room. I very much enjoyed my free Netflix and sports channels.

My husband and I stayed here and we found it a very clean room and very quiet. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location- great pub down the road for a hearty meal. Easy access to centre of town. Best of all the bath towels were huge! Thanks - will definitely be back.

There are motels, and then there are motels. Some are slick and some not so. Some are clean, but don’t really feel like home. The Squatters Homestead Motel is one of those rare properties that feels like home. From the casual welcome on arrival to the beautiful sheets and towels that were not just the usual bleached white. The owner was engaging and friendly and we had a great overnight stay.This is a small property, so don’t be surprised if it is booked out.

Great place to stay in Casino if you are looking for an overnighter for your Q parkrun! Easy walk to Cecil Hotel for dinner. Manager man is a fine character!

Extremely clean and fresh. The new beding is excellent. The owners/workers are exceptional very friendly and accommodating, they made our family feel very comfortable. Our room was very quite for sleeping. We highly recommend this motel.

Stayed at Squatters Homestead on a recent work trip for 8 weeks. Rooms were very clean. The owners are top notch. Myself and all 5 of my workmates were treated like family. I have never experienced hospitality like I experienced here. I can't speak highly enough of what the management did for all of us. I will definitely be staying at Squatters Homestead again. Very basic...Needs updatingApr. 2019 • FamilyBooking was no problem and Staff were happy to answer any questions.Beds were firm and comfy. Bathroom was very clean. New Owners were friendly.We were told the Motel had been taken over a week ago and they were'cleaning' it up. Furniture/rubbish stacked along entrance. Small parking for units at front. Old A/C quite noisy. Could only get 4 channels on Foxtel and or the 2 sports channels had good reception. Cupboard had to be fixed as only one door was attached. No shelves in bathroom. Old and dated but were alst told they were going to refurbish the Motel room by room. Maybe would try again if it's updated.

Whilst not the fanciest, we found them really friendly and the room was really clean. We were there for a wedding and they had the room ready early as we requested which we really appreciated. It was convenient to everything. Lovely soft white towels and comfy beds. Thanks!
