It's definitely a worthwhile short drive from Ballarat for such a view. The roads are mostly good, but caution should be taken on some of the narrow sections. Above average facilities, undercover bbq area, toilets, playground with large flat grassed area.

The two Traditional Owners of the lands within the Corangamite Region are the Wadawurrung and Eastern Maar. Beautiful Lal Lal falls meaning running water.Easy to find location and not a far walk to the observation deck, playground and picnic ground with public toilets.

Beautiful Falls. Shame it's been dubbed too dangerous to get to the bottom. Hike through fields orienteering to get to the nearby Moorabool Falls was a beautiful stroll.

Really nice!! It wasn’t a crazy flow of water when I went but still really pretty.. you drive up to a car park which doesn’t look like much, there’s a toilet block… but maybe 200metres there’s the lookout, There’s a sign saying to not go down but you can and it’s fine.also drove to the other side in order to find Granite falls which wasn’t worth it at all because you have to walk into the gorge.. and the waterfall wasn’t much.. , but on the way found the way to the top of Lal Lal falls! Really easy and sturdy to get to. Stick to dry rocks and you’ll be fine.

Much more than a waterfall, with a strong connection to history both before and after the European claim to the place.Would visit next time with a picnic or food to cook on the BBQ which is available.

It is so peaceful out here. The waterfall during winter and spring is gorgeous and so relaxing. There are multiple walking tracks that take you down and around the reservoir. It is not wheelchair accessible. It has a small playground for the kids, picnic tables and a barbecue. There is also signage that teaches about Bunjil and how he created the animals and the land and skies. Just a really lovely place to visit.

This was an interesting place, it would possibly be great in the wetter months when there is some water on the falls.

The drive to Lal Lal falls is a little concerning as you pass through some fairly normal look fields, and you are fairly more disappointed as you arrive at what looks like an open grassy field with not much to see.Lal Lal falls was a present surprise however. The kids enjoyed a good play on the playground, and once we walked to the falls, it is quite a sight to see. Falling down into a big gorge, the falls are more impressive than some others in the region with a nice backdrop. There is a short walk you can follow which is nice itself, and then leads to a view of a massive reservoir, and then further along a mystical looking pine Plantation.Great for a day out, on the way out its nice to stop to have a look at the Blast Furnace too.

Huge rocky creek and tall waterfall, there is seating, bathrooms, good parking and shade there to enjoy a few hours there. When I went (January) there wasn't much water but was still pretty nice and it looks like it isn't always like that, just the viewing platform is very far away from the waterfall itself compared to many other falls in Victoria, and the second lookout was closed and hasn't been maintained but it didn't look like the view would have been that differant anyways. Still a great visit if in the area

Peaceful walking tracks along the top of the hill around to the waterfall. Multiple trials that can take you down closer to the falls, which are of course only visible during winter and spring. You can take your dog with you on leash, and there's some information boards near the toilets and central area, not far from the carpark.
