Lufra Hotel and Apartments

What a little oasis on our way down to Port Arthur. We stayed in the fully equipped appartment that had everything you needed including the dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. The rooms were very clean with an amazing shower and super comfy king size bed. We ate at the hotel right next door to your rooms and had a delicious meal. The staff were very friendly and we even got talking with the owner who was super friendly and full of local information about the area. Wish we had more time to stay longer.

Really friendly staff! Reliably open even during the off season and the meals were large and well priced. Right across the road from the teselated pavement so perfect for a nice view after your meal. We'll keep coming back, thanks!

Lovely location, clean and well maintained hotel. I would return here. Great for access to walking tracks. Next time I would bring additional water, and food because there’s not many options around! The hotel itself has an active bar and bistro but you have to hit timing right for food.

2 bedroom apartment was great, clean and tidy. However the staff are not good with customer service, no front of desk help, unwilling to help with some food when arriving, nothing else in the area, no snacks even in the room, response was packet of chips at the bar". Breakfast at $14 per person was dismal

Fridge didn’t work and stunk, lamps didn’t work, water pressure in room was non existent showed under a dribble, house keeper vacuumed at 8.30am even though checked at 10 no sleeping in here. Old fashioned rooms very very dated, Room above the bistro/ bar area no sleep noisiest place I have ever stayed, glad only booked for 1 night. No phone service in room.

Had a very small very basic room with 2 single beds,no views very overpriced.Had to book dinner times in their bistro as you are miles from anywhere,meal was ok,, lovely views from the bistro.Staff were friendly & helpful but would not return.

Lovely location, clean and nice rooms, amazing view, kind staff, but the food…It’s probably the worst food I have eaten in Australia so far… I ordered the only vegetarian option there is, and for 30 bucks I got 2 carrots, 2 potatoes and 3 aubergines that where too much cooked and served with the skin. My man ordered the sea plate and it was served in a bowl together with the chips. It was a small bowl and both the chips and the seafood was in it so he didn’t even get a full bowl of neither one. He didn’t get any dressing with his salad and when he asked for it the waitress brought him lemon juice… we were extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the food. We were expecting more than this considering the price of the meals and the fact that the hotel has a beautiful location, with a breathtaking view, nice staff and tidy rooms.I would definitely recommend staying here but I would absolutely not recommend eating the food in their restaurant. I’m sorry but it was so bad.

Saturday afternoon. Live music was great.Food was exceptional. They saved me the last vegan meal as they knew I was coming for dinner too

First time here and the staff here so friendly and very helpful. Meals were delicious and overall very good sized meals. Rooms are very nice and toilet and shower were roomy unlike some other motels and accommodation. Will stay here again on next visit to Tasmania.
