Betterview Video & TV Service

After looking all over Sydney for a repairer that would be willing to fix my old CRT TV (32in Sony Trinitron) from the late 90's, most were unwilling or expected me to lag the extremely heavy TV to their depo just to look at to see if it was repairable. Betterview not only responded promptly to my inquiry but sent out a tech to pick up the TV. They kept me updated throughout the repair process and they were able to fix the TV and return it to my home all at a very reasonable cost. Also they nicely sent me the service manual for the TV as I was unable to fine online anywhere due to the age of the TV. Thank you Betterview! My family and I look forward to some great times playing all the old gaming consoles and light gun games which look so good on the old TV.

First time I have dealt with this company and I was very impressed. Paul the technician came on same day as phone call and arrived at time allocated. Paul is excellent technician and extremely knowlegable about his work. Even though it turned out not to be cost-effective to get my tv repaired, I would certainly recommend this company. John was also very helpful and friendly. Very good customer service and will deal with them again in future if needed.

I had a technician to my house within an hour of placing a call to repair my tv. Very professional, polite and found the problem with ease. Repaired the tv and I got a discount as well. Highly recommend John to take care of your tv issues.

I hate to leave a negative review, but I feel strongly enough to share my experience. I was charged a $120 call out fee for a technician to come to my house.. take a photo of the barcode at the back of tv and then one of the damaged screen at front.I was under the impression, the call out fee was to quote but no quote was provided on site or on the same day. I was given three “reasons” in person as to what I was paying for .. one had something to do with insurance which I wasn’t going through.. and the other had to do with people not taking a photo well enough.. and the last was some brand tvs require opening to see how much it will cost.The tv wasn’t opened up, they could have ascertained what brand I had over the phone to confirm if opening the tv was a possibility, they also could have asked if it was an insurance claim, and they could have given me the benefit of the doubt in 2022 to take a decent photo of the barcode or simply provide its model number from the product information I had when purchasing.They charged the $120 for something they should have asked me to do from home and send. The quote came back over $1000 more then what it will cost tk buy my tv new again… I highly doubt there is this much uncertainty about parts in the tv world. An approx price could have been given without a technician coming to my home.Bottom line - the professional sent did nothing professional to justify charging anything, or even wasting my time coming out to the house.

Very friendly service. The technician from Betterview tv came out and was very patient and explained everything to us so we can understand how to use the TV with Foxtel and Netflix.We highly recommend Betterview.

Home service arrived as promised, my TV fault was outside of their capability (I need a new TV). The technician was very knowledgeable and helpful. Now I know I'm not shelling out for a new TV over something fixable, the service and peace of mind was worth the cost which was very reasonable.
