The sound of birds chirping on every road that I passed by on this autumn afternoon was just so beautiful. The feeling of my footsteps touching soft grass, trails, and passing rocks made me feel deeply happy. Standing on the top of the mountain and raising my hand high, I felt like I could touch the white clouds floating in the sky. Nature and I seemed to merge into one.Come here and feel it in your way. You just need to please remember to wear suitable waterproof hiking shoes, especially on rainy autumn and winter days.Highly recommended.

Steep walk to get to the top.Once up there it is a fairly flat walk with seats scattered around . Good view from the top and went on the swing.

Amazing to be able to walk amongst cows in the pasture near the city - for free. Terrific views across Adelaide. Pretty steep trails in places. Well worth a visit.

Waite Conservation Reserve is a secluded mountain park. It's right next to The University of Adelaide Waite Campus. For twenty years the volunteers have cared for this reserve. Salute them. We once met a volunteer worker. He is very nice and friendly. The mountain road is rugged and steep but the scenery on the mountain is very beautiful.

Entered at Gate 88, uphill from the uni campus. Wild Dogs Gully is steep and a long climb, must be 300 steps. The rest of the Waite loop is flat or moderately undulating. The best part of the reserve are the benches along the path - I needed them - and the views. There is one stop with two swings hung from a gum tree.It is all grasses, dry during summer, and gum trees. Any other plant has their own signage.

Beautiful place, starts off a little uphill but the track is very well maintained. You get incredible views of the city. Including the extra loop, you can do a 7km hike loop. FYI the recently popularised swing has been taken down by the park admin. You'll still get beautiful scenery just on your feet :)

My partner and I do the approx. 8km Waite loop trail, which has some steep/ rocky rises, and a view well worth the effort. Looks like the trail has been upgraded in sections recently, with new signs and picnic tables added. Lovely way to spend a few hours outdoors.

We visited the place the weekend before last. Despite the fact that we had to climb up a relatively steep stairs, which would only take about 10 mins anyway, we ended up on the top of the mountain with a view overlooking the entire city. And it turns out it was the best experience ever. The place was quiet and adventurous. The view was spectacular. Not to mention the little swing we found up there. Whoever built the swing truly knows what he/she’s doing as it totally lifted the whole traveling experience to the next level.

For only a small walk, this view is definitely worth it. To be able to swing out over Adelaide city is a must do! Not only that, there is so many beautiful chairs located on the mountain top for a slightly different experience each time. Bring the little ones or take a date, it will be a memorable sunset
