Wandilla Magic

I am a grandparent that has been picking my grandchildren up on a regular basis every week from the Daycare Centre for about 4 years. In recent months we as grandparents have noticed a decline in the lack of care and empathy from management. We give much thanks to some of the Educators at the Centre with their loving caring ways, it’s a shame I can’t say the same for management . We do acknowledge that children can be very challenging at times, with challenging behaviors. I also except my grandson does have challenging behavior and we are addressing this to the best way in conjunction with specialists . My daughter is working through that at the moment addressing the behavior. Managementand the Centre are well aware that this was happening.They reduced his attendance hours as they were unable to deal with it, this has confused him to no end.One day I walking into the daycare center to collect my grandchildren, I heard another parent talking to management at the front deck that she was disgusted with one educator. Her concerns that one of the educators was heard screaming at a child, she stated it was very out of line and it unnerved for her, this parent has since removed her children from the Centre. The child In question just happened to be my grandson, walked into the room, she was still yelling at him. I just shook my head, told my grandson it would be alright.In recent months there has been a huge turnover of staff. I do feel that continuously changing of staff contributes to children’s challenging, behavior, and not in a positive way. Poor consistency leads to instability with small children. On several occasions management has rung my daughter asked her to come and pick her son up. She is a single income, single mother, trying to do the best to keep a roof over her kids heads. Self employed she can not just drop everything to pick him up.I feel that my grandson has been discriminated against, management states, they are telling us they do not have the resources to deal with his behavior. Changing rooms and educators three or four times in a very short months is very unnerving for children. I have never seen such a turnover of staff in such a short period of time. You have to question why staff only last a few months, everything start from management. I do feel that Wandilla has lost its “MAGIC” There was no notice given to my daughter that they would refuse care for my grandson. Because of changing staff on a regular basis, management seem to have lost sight of the needs for the children that are in their care. I do hope for the sake of the center, that management can turn it around. It’s a real shame that the communication or lack of has let another child down. We entrust care centers with our most valuable and vulnerable children to only be told “it’s all too hard “Magic does not come to mind at present , discrimination does…!! Daycare center’s benefits financially with NDIS funded. The mighty dollar rules not the care of our children.

My family love Wandilla Magic!The team of Educators are professional, kind, loving and always go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of my children. My husband and I feel blessed knowing that our children are cared for beautifully by the Wandilla team.

Wandilla was recommended to me by a friend whose children attended the centre.Not only does the centre and staff go above and beyond for the children - they don’t forget the parents and extend the support and caring attitude to holistically include the child’s whole family.Wandilla fosters an encouraging, enjoyable, safe and productive learning environment for the children, and also holds a strong relationship and connection with community.While there are many key factors which contribute to the high quality child care and programs provided by Wandilla, it’s is the little efforts Wandilla and staff make on a daily basis through their care, compassion and understanding that makes me feel confident I have chosen a wonderful, supportiveenvironment for my daughter to learn and grow in.

Wandilla Magic Childcare Centre in Loganholme is fantastic. My children have been a part of the Wandilla family for many years and the staff are very professional and so kind and caring. Wonderful team of educators. Highly recommend.

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the recent changes at the daycare center that my children had attended since 2018 Ages (6,4,2). Unfortunately, the quality of care has gone downhill in management, and there has been a massive staff turnover in the last few months alone that has impacted the wellbeing of my children. There seems to be now minimal staff to cater for all the children in the centre so classes are being combined.I understand that some children need more help then others at times. I feel that my son has been discriminated against, and we were eventually pushed out of the centre by management along with a lot of staff and other parents who have left. Despite the center's claims of providing a safe and nurturing environment, we have experienced anything but that towards the end. I have gone great lengths to get my son into a child psychiatrist and psychologist asap. Which is quite hard at the moment with large wait lists for these services. I mange to get in straight away for these appointments and arranged other letters from Drs to help with funding to help with my son in the daycare. All I received was a letter from management throwing in my face the out of cost she has for having my son at her centre and that I only pay a small amount a day and she is out of pocket.The changes have had a significant impact on my sons daily routines and wellbeing. We noticed that there was a lack of consistency in the care provided, I was notified by management that many of the staff members were not trained to handle the needs of young children with high needs for example anxiety, separation anxiety, behavioural issues.I understand that changes are sometimes necessary, but the management of the center has failed to implement them in a manner that benefits the children's welfare. The center's policies and procedures are not transparent, and parents are left in the dark about important decisions that affect their children's wellbeing.In conclusion, I believe that the daycare center has failed to provide adequate care for my son (4) and I would not recommend it to other parents with children with more needs. I hope that management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary changes to ensure that the center provides a safe and nurturing environment for all children.I take my hat off to a number of staff members in the centre for their time and effort towards trying to help and being just all round loving beautiful people. It’s unfortunate about these issues with Wandilla going down hill.

Wonderful team, very warm and welcoming. Food, Nappies, wipes and extra activities included in the fees. Lots of outdoor space with newly renovated play areas. Highly recommend!

We love Wandilla Magic!!My daughter has been attending Wandilla Magic Childcare Centre since she was 5 months old. Every educator she's had has been excellent! Very professional, caring, informative and very dedicated to my daughters education along with all the other children. They all care about the children as if they are their own. If you want educators who truly care for your children and will do their very best, then look no further than Wandilla Magic.

Wandilla Magic staff are friendly, caring and respectful. I have had both my kids in this centre since they were babies and have always been fantastic. The programs and activities are of high quality and both my kids always came home with smiles on their faces. I would highly recommend using this centre.

Wandilla magic is a fantastic family orientated centre that strive to provide top notch quality care for the staff and children. Dani and staff are the best in the business. My child has been attending there from the age of 6 months and loves every minute of her time there.

Great childcare centre with an amazing team. Both our kids enjoy their time here and we always feel comfortable leaving them with the educators.One of our children has additional care needs which the centre have wholeheartedly and enthusiastically embraced, for which we are always grateful.
