Afghan Rahimi Restaurant
Had dinner here and everything we ordered was awesome including Kabuli pulao and Chapli kabab. Loved the fine dining ambiance as well. Ended our meal with Afghani kehwa and gulab jamun. Yummy!

Everytime we order here we are not only satisfied but SO FULL! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!Honestly the kabuli pulao with lamb shank is SO FREEKING GOOD! and huge portion! 2 giant lamb shanks and heaps of rice! So tender definutly get the lamb karahi to go with it yumyumyumWe ate so much we are in a food coma lolYou get generous sides too! (We already started eating so they look empty in the photo hahahhaha sorry!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Afghan Rahimi Restaurant, and I must say that it was a delightful culinary experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu offerings.I tried the Kabuli Pulao, a delicious rice dish with tender meat, raisins, and carrots, which was bursting with flavors and perfectly cooked. I also sampled the Mantu, traditional Afghan dumplings filled with minced meat and topped with a rich tomato sauce and yogurt. The combination of spices and textures was exquisite.The vegetarian options were also impressive, catering to different dietary preferences. I could not make sense of the high reviews after my visit to this hyped restaurant.What i liked:The environment. Nice interior.The staff were courteous.Why i will never go back:'Overpriced' probably is an understatement for the quantity you get for a 35 or 39 dollar dish. The quantity is really poor!And out of the 5 dishes we ordered, i would say 2 were tasty, but you could get food that tastes similar or better in many other places at half the price, so taste itself is not enough to justify the price and the small quantity.The staff in the end forgot one of the dishes we ordered, although 10 minutes after serving the food she had said the other item was coming.Edit:Thank you for responding to my review.We ordered 5 dishes, not 2.And I appreciate the serves are single serve. My review of your food price was for a single serve as well.

OMG! If you haven't eaten here and are local what are you doing! The staff are beautiful. The food is amazing! The decor is just absolutely beautiful. My husband said it reminds him of the restaurants in Dubai. The food is reasonably priced too, for the portion sizes. They're quite large in comparison to a lot of restaurants. Definitely recommend eating here.

Short trip to Melbourne over the holiday period - Dinner at @afghan_rahimi_restaurant on the way back from Mornington Peninsula! We got the banquet number 2 at 45$ per person. This is fine dining Afghan style. Excellent food and service. The food doesn't take long to come out, and the banquet dishes come out perfectly timed. The serves are just right and filling. The cost is very reasonable considering the experience. Will be back!As I ordered a banquet, I couldn't get a photo of all the food before I started eating. And I was hungry. So here is a photo of the kebab skewers.

Delicious food,spacious and nice looking furniture.Service was warm and friendly.Had mixed skewers and lamb curry and bread.Will go back to try the other dishes.
