Powerhouse Hotel Tamworth by Rydges
This place was amazing! My only 2 complaints we booked for 3 adults and were only provided 2 face washers. The parking spots are very very small. On the plus side The beds were comfy and the place was so clean. We didn’t eat at the restaurant in the evening as the prices were a little steep. We did have breakfast the next morning in it though. This made us regret not shelling out for dinner there the night earlier. Breakfast was delicious, I can only imagine how amazing the steak would have been! Will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to friends. Very impressed.

Exceptional - Comfortable and Clean.The suite was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel team was always friendly, patient and helpful. Had dinner in the The Workshop Kitchen. Albeit a bit pricey the food was delicious and can recommend this restaurant.

Good hotel, check in is always pleasant but sometimes mixed/confusing information when making requests eg for bedding arrangements and availability of room upgrades. Parking is a bit haphazard with no allocated bays. Every time I’ve been here, non EVs have been parked in EV parking bays. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious but noise insulation from the roads (esp trucks) isn’t great.

Haven't stayed here before and decided to give it a go. Rooms are nice and well appointed. Slightly too far to walk to town centre. Reception staff on 2 seperate occasions were anything but friendly or pleasant. In fact I felt like just being there was an inconvenience to them. Probably wouldn't stay again.

The one-bedroom apartment was tastefully renovated a couple of years ago. Haven been in the business for 40 years I could appreciate the work that has been put into the details to make those rooms & bathrooms comfortable, spacious, and luxurious. We stayed three nights and if time had allowed it, we could have stayed longer.The restaurant is nice and provides a comfortable atmosphere due to its warm decor, but the menu is a bit restrictive, and it is overpriced. The parking is plentiful and free of charge. If we need to visit Tamworth again, we will stay at the Powerhouse again.

I spent the Easter long weekend here with my three young children. My children and I had a great time all round. The rooms and facilities were clean and presentable.We went to the restaurant on the first night and the staff were very friendly, smiley and helpful. Great to see a reasonable kids menu, so the children can enjoy their meals while the adults enjoy the finer choices.The food was delicious and my cocktail was on point. The greenery on the plate could have been a bit more alive, but none the less, it still got eaten.People here are so friendly and welcoming.Thank you for a lovely stay!

This place was exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and the service was great. The only issue my husband and I had were kids running around after 10:30pm at night, resulting in my husband needing to wear earplugs.Overall, though, a really nice place to stay at Tamworth.

I stayed at the Hotel recently and had a very great hotel experience and enjoyed every moment. Rooms are recently renovated so are lovely and fresh, not to mention super comfortable. The bar had great choice of drinks and food was excellent. Thank you!

I stayed here with a colleague for a work trip. I cannot fault the staff on their service! The hotel had under gone a renovation 2.5yrs ago but it felt a lot more recent than this - very modern interior and lovely rooms. The bar and restaurant area were also great spaces. The history of the site was interesting and the staff were very knowledgeable about it. Even if you don't stay here you MUST dine at The Workshop Kitchen, I ate one of the best steaks I've ever had (and I work in the beef industry). Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks again!

What really stood out for us was the food and the service!We are both long term vegetarians, and were more than adequately catered for over the course of a lunch, dinner and breakfast - plus the dessert (Alaska Bombe and chocolate mousse trio) were FABULOUS. All the staff (front of house and F&B) were attentive and friendly.The room was also spacious and surprisingly quiet, all the mod cons easily available
