A great hike up from the car park picnic area, be prepared for steep and rocky terrain. The view from the top is awesome, I would allow 2 hours for the return trip.

Visiting the war memorial dedicated to Avro Anson A4-4 that claimed 4 young lives on the 16th May 1940 is a very moving experience! A clearly sign posted walking track that is maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers will ensure you have a safe hike into the site. The 60 year old memorial cairn, a mounted engine from the crashed Anson and an information board is a wonderful tribute to what transpired on this mountain over 75 years ago. A must visit for anyone wishing to pay their respects to 4 of our ANZAC hero's.

Best accessed with an off road capable vehicle. The picnic / camping area is flat and open. A beautiful spot. The hike can be a little arduous for the unfit and was a little overgrown at this time. Great views and solitude in Victoria's high country. A little gem!

The climb to the summit of mount torbreck is one of the hidden gems of Victoria. The trail is clearly marked and well maintained. The walk itself isn't too long but is pretty steep at times. On a clear day the reviews at the top are impressive. Definitely worth a visit.

It's quite a steady walk to the top.. there's not much scrambling over rocks but the steep ascent will definitely get the heart pumping.. upon top keep following the markers till you reach the pyramid of rocks..the views across to the distant hills are very impressive..

***Tree down 2.8km from Barnewall Plains blocking road!!!***Surprisingly high, this peak has amazing views. The main summit walk isn't too far but scrambling and a few steep spots make it unsuitable for a casual stroll up. Beware brambles! The walk to the old plane crash site, passed on the drive up, is easier and still great.

A great hike with beautiful views at the top of the surrounding High Country. The hike slowly gets steeper as you go, from a grassy track to rock climbing, before even greeted by an easy stroll along the top until you get to the rocky cairn. Camping is available at the bottom before you start the hike, but vehicle access isn’t possible over the winter road closures.
