They fine players absurd amounts for receiving cards. If you're a defender in Sunday league div 6 and the ref decides to send you off for an innocuous tackle veacuse you're the last man. It'll cost a few hundred dollars. On top of the $500 you've already paid to play. That's only if a ref shows up. Which they usually don't.
