The Llama Farm

I was gifted a voucher for my 50th Birthday from a beautiful friend. My friend and I went today on the Sunset tour and it was such a magical afternoon. Shane gives a fantastic talk all about Llamas which is so interesting and then we headed off for our walk. I walked with Teddy and my friend had Humphrey - they were so adorable and great company. Shane set up and took some amazing photos for us. Great afternoon with fabulous memories made. Highly recommend The Llama Farm, this was was second visit and won’t be my last.

I’m an animal lover so this experience was ideal for me. You get to feed camels, groom donkeys & shetland ponies, feed llamas, and pat rabbits, goats and sheep. It was also very educational with Shane giving a thorough explanation of each animal and the farm. Definitely recommend for both kids and adults.

I visited the Llama farm with my 6 and 7 year old children on the weekend and it was fabulous! The farm is located in a stunning area and is very pleasant to walk around. We got to hand feed camels, llamas and also brush ponies and mini donkeys. There was also plenty of time to interact with the animals so you did not feel rushed either. My children especially loved the extra time feeding the llamas at the end. I would highly recommend this tour!

We did the sunset llama walk on a Sunday afternoon. We were expecting our visit to be great, but it exceeded our expectations! Shane gave a talk at the start, which was great to learn about the llamas we were about to walk. The actual walk was beautiful, the property is stunning especially at that time of day. We got to spend plenty of time with our new llama friends! We didn't expect to get to feed camels, meet donkeys and ponies, and see peacocks with their tails on full display, so the afternoon was filled with fun surprises! Shane provided us with information about the area and all the animals along the way, which made it educational and fun. Shane went above and beyond to capture photos of our experience. Overall a really fantastic afternoon!

This beautiful property offers two different tours. A farm tour in the mornings or a llama walk. Both need to be booked in advance, but are well worth the effort, as you will have an unforgettable memory here. Here you can pet and feed the llamas, brush the ponies, see the camels and cuddle the rabbits on a 1.5hour farm tour. Or book in for the llama walk and take one of the friendly animals for a walk down to the river and back. There is also a shop selling llama giftware and peacock feathers that have been found on the farm.

The Llama farm was a great experience, our whole family loved it! Shane the owner, was very informative about all of the different animals and we got to feed the Llamas and the Camels. We definitely recommend for a great day out!

Fabulous experience and have memories that will last a lifetime. Great for the kids and adults alike. Shane was very knowledgeable and ran an amazing tour. We would highly recommend this business.

Shane and staff did an awesome job explaining all the differences between the various animals on the farm. The Llama feeding was the best. Love that this is not a profit making venture and all proceeds from tours are used directly to feed and care for the animals using local vendors and services. Keep up the good work!

I have a love of Llama’s but have never had the opportunity to come up close and personal with one until today! Shane gave us an education in Llama’s before we took off on a guided tour, introducing us to the many other animals on the farm, donkey’s, miniature ponies, camels and the absolute highlight feeding the llamas and getting well acquainted with Casper where we shared many sniffs! Highly recommended and I could give them more stars I definitely would! Thank you Shane and team for making an absolute dream come true for me today!
