KCGM Super Pit Lookout
A must visit place if you are going through Kalgoorlie, very interesting to see the workers working. Plenty of car parks so if you’re towing or a large vehicle you would be always be able to find a spot.

KCGM Super Pit Lookout
Overlooking the superpit, one of Australia's largest open pit gold mines, it is hard to get the full impact of how large this actually is!You see these little trucks rumbling past, but then have to put that in perspective they are massive, just the overall size of the mine is staggering:)The lookout is the best you can expect, would be nice to have water or toilet facilities available there, but it is a working mine, not a tourist site hahaha

A magnificent view of the mine from the lookout, easy parking for cars, caravans and buses. A great little undercover display with all the facts and information about the mine.

A must see when in Kalgoorlie even though I’ve been before. The information boards make interesting reading. Watched the machinery movements in the pit for over 1/2 hour.

KCGM Super Pit Lookout
As luck would have it, the Super Pit Gold mine was doing a blast on the day. Blasted off as scheduled at 5 pm sharp! Great to watch. The Tourists Information Centre told us about it. The Kalgoorlie Mine Tours told us exactly where the blast was and where to look standing at the viewing point.

Spectacular views of the open mine pit and seeing some excavation and the huge trucks carrying the ore ,also great views of Kalgoorlie. Definitely worth the visit

Terrific lookout, great to see the trucks and activity of the open pit. We timed it perfect to see blasting. Very informative , definitely worth a visit.

Love being able to be so close to the pit! Was hoping for the 5pm boom but it didn't happen! Awesome to see the little ants working!
