Quality venue and the food was good, but the service was terrible. Waited at the bar to get served while 1 wait person tried to manage the bar while 2 others stood around talking. Then the service was so slow to make the drinks, it was like there was no urgency to get people served or privide good service. I could have spent easily another $200 on drinks for our table in the time we waited over 4 rounds.. Multiply that by the 6 or 7 people who continued to wait as well...

I had the prawn linguine for dinner and it was delicious! Restaurant quality. Good service and nice cocktails. However I had the sticky date pudding for dessert and it was not warm like I was hoping.

Had a shared taco plate for lunch. Stale tacos, missing ingredients and very ordinary. Dirty glassware too. Informed staff and emailed to no response. Room for improvement.On the plus side, it is a good looking venue.

Good food, happy servers. Maybe a little understaffed? Only one man manning the main bar on a Friday night, who also needed to clean the tables etc. but a great atmosphere for beers and burgers for a footy night

I recently visited Highfield for a function. On arrival I was stopped at the door and asked where I was going by some very intimidatingly security staff. I was then told to see the lady inside who said I could come in, I'm 60yrs and was sober so being provided permission to enter seemed over zealous. Inside I found the service poor with 6 people behind the bar but only 2 serving, accordingly queues were long. The staff seemed more interested chatting to each other!! My first order I was asked 'what do ya want' . - all class that! I got our drinks back to the table to find the beer was not much colder than room temperature! We then had the Security staff walking between us, most intimidating. The food was cold. All in all an appalling place to socialize, they wont get my money again. If you are under 25, with lots of discretionary cash to spend, and are completely non discerning then this place would probably be for you.

A friend had a discount voucher and suggested we come here for dinner so we arrived fairly early at 6 which was just as well because we didn't book and really should have, but we got a table and as the sun set so did the temperature brrr but luckily the young female staff were aware and put on the overhead heaters yay, food was good and we both enjoyed our meals. I'd hoped to see hearty healthy soups with crusty bread on the Winter menu but no :(We watched the staff set up the fireplace and relocated next to it after we finished our meals and didn't I want a hot chocolate and marshmallows right at that moment!Some warm desserts and hot Chai to drink would seduce me into making this a regular haunt for sure lolI do love the open vibe of nature with plants at this place. Thank you Highfields for the relaxed evening.

Pre- Christmas lunch for us at Botanical and it was lovely with a great vibe. Food was very good and a great variety even for the coeliac’s. We had the pork was cooked superbly and portion size was large, along with the Bang Bang Chicken salad. And we couldn’t help ourselves with guacamole for starters.

Polite staff but poor service quality.Ordered the Wok fried Pad Kraprow with roast duck. The taste was ok. However, it there were 2 small pieces of duck and 5 pieces of duck skin.To add salt to inquiry, the waitress who saved us said the dish was 'chicken'- she had to go back to the kitchen to confirm it was duck when I told her it was not my dish.My partner ordered the Wok fried Pad Kraprowseafood it was tasteless.
