Seen some less-than-positive reviews on Tripadvisor....but friend eats here often, and took me there today. The 'Old School' basic serving of great crispy chips, tasty flake, acceptable potato cake, and dim sim with surprising tasty elements, was more than I could eat. Would go back. BYO, and approx 16.00. on-street parking in busy village setting.

Had read reviews about the customer service and avoided this place as a result until this evening as Junction fish and chips was closed. The woman serving (assuming she was an owner) was incredibly rude- we had ordered two meals, it was 35 degrees outside, and i asked for two cups of water. She rolled her eyes at me with an extremely annoyed expression on her face- didn't even try to act polite - myself and the other two customers standing next to me looked at each other like WTH. It was actually disgusting behaviour. Felt really uncomfortable as a result and couldn't wait to finish our food and get out of there (needless to say didn't ask for more water!) Fish was fine but certainly won't be going back given the awful customer service.

Nice fish and chips but the old man that works there is extremely rude at the till. Left the shop in shock with how bad he treated me as a customer. Won't be going back for that reason.

Placed a large order of fish & chips tonight and hands down it was the best fish & chips we’ve had in about 5 years!! Everything was crispy and fresh and just delicious. We’ve sampled every fish & chip shop within 5kms this year and this was easily the best in the local area. We’ve eaten here before but tonight’s meal was better than I remember, whatever you’re doing Head & Tails keep it up as we’ll be back!

Does anyone actually go to Heads and Tails Fish and Chips? I was thinking of trying it out, I sat pondering what I’d have just one person on my own, place was empty inside and out which I thought was a bad sign, 30 seconds later a guy runs out and shoo’s me off so very rudely like I was a seagull! Decided not to ever eat there. How does it stay in business?

WORST FISH AND CHIPS EVER! FOR THE PRICE YOU ARE PAYING THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! BEHOLD PHOTOS OF $5 WORTH OF CHIPS AND THE VEGETABLE PATTY THAT COST $11. NOT INCLUDED IN THE PHOTOS IS THE PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A CHICKEN BURGER AND COMPLETELY INEDIBLE SCALLOPS. I ACTUALLY CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW RIPPED OFF AND DISAPPOINTED I AM. IN COMPARISON TO ANY OTHER FISH AND CHIP SHOP THAT SERVES 10 TIMES THE QUALITY OF FOOD FOR HALF THE PRICE. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON'T EITHER.

Heads and Tails is an expensive fish and chip shop and even more given we visited on a public holiday and there was a 10% surcharge. No complaints quality wise but I will personally stick to the alternative f&c in Elwood which offers the same quality at a more reasonable price

AVOID. The old man behind the till is the most rude, disgusting person we have ever encountered. To think the bloke runs a business is beyond me. This business will run itself into the ground in a couple of years I hope he loses everything. He Shouted at 2 girls because they hadn't decided on the order (the menu is above the bloody till & with nobody else in the queue they were just looking). He then decided to yell because we asked for 1 fish battered. He's lucky we didn't jump over the register and chuck his head in the fryer. Food also poor and overpriced
