The Elm Forest
This is really a small patch of woods by the site of the original Don Village colonial settlement of the 19th century. Remains of the docks and wharfs can be seen in the riverbed. A good place to set off from, to walk over Don Bluff to the beautiful Cove, via a steep, muddy path up and down. Great views from the top of the Bluff.

It's a nice 10-15 minutes walk along the lake, good to bring kids too. Its next to the Don Heads walk so if you're feeling ambitious you can always take a walk up and enjoy the sea view.

The Elm Forest
Lovely walk. A little short perhaps. Great for a quick stretch and some nice nearby beach views. If you're driving on the Bass Hwy as a tourist it would be a nice quick enroute break in your journey. At low tide can see the black tessellated rocks.
