Moorings on Cavill

Had such an amazing time stay here! Loved the pool facilities, room, view from the balcony and the location. Was a quiet spot yet so close to so many restaurants, bars etc. When we are next in the Gold Coast, will definitely try to book a room again. Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful views from our river front room . Room was fairly modern but had a few maintenance issues that could be easily fixed . The lock for the sliding door on the balcony was very flimsy and the toilet roll holder was barely hanging on. We stayed for 5 nights and the location and views were absolutely perfect, with just a short stroll to the heart of Cavill avenue. Just a heads up that the parking spaces are very small and tight, so if you have a large car I suggest you ask for a larger space, as the car spaces varied in size .Would definitely stay here again

Lovely clean rooms but a bit dated. Tv has Foxtel and free to air. Moorings was situated in an excellent location and all attractions of Surfers Paradise were well within walking distance. The pool area is very nice and features a wading pool, large pool, sauna, and spa, which are well maintained. It has a barbecue area with two barbecues and is clean and tidy. Unfortunately the internal phone system cannot be used to ring between rooms which is an inconvenience if your party is split up on different floors. The security of the building and the floors is excellent. My room overlooked the Nerang River and the views were beautiful.Unfortunately there were a lot of ants in the kitchen so a can of ant spray would have been handy. Or maybe get the pest exterminators to give the unit a spray.Highly recommended

Let's start by saying the location, at the western end of Cavill Ave is great. Literally a brief walk up Cavill Ave and the surf. Plenty of shops around including a Woolworths across the road.Now the property... it's old, very old, and hasn't had a renovation since Jesus was a boy. The rooms are large ✔️ but who cares if they are ancient, worn down, terrible layout and pretty much worthy of a knock down. Any developers out there wanting a new project??The staff.... if you can call them professional, dressed in their worn top, no bra, pretty much straight out of a trailer park, was useless when asked about assisting us with very simple requests.** If you intend on bringing your own car, then ensure you confirm this as they may not have a car place available, even though every unit has a car spot. Yep you try and work that one out???No matter what any response may be to this, how can they justify a price 50% more than the Marriott up the road??In summary, NOT recommended. Get something else that is newer, less expensive and probably has staff that care. Only the location gives it 2 stars, otherwise it would have been 1 star.

We were in a superior 2 bed apartment which was amazing. Service too was fantastic, with a lovely welcome gift on arrival. Pool and spa area was awesome. Location was so close to the Surfers Paradise action, which was great, but did get noisy at times...worth it though!

The location is perfect. The apartment was very clean and well presented, not necessarily recently refurbished but very clean and comfortable. Excellent size for a family as well.Pool area fabulous.Beds very comfortable and high quality sheets.Staff made the stay 5 star…, extremely accommodating, friendly and accommodating! Can’t wait to come back

I had an ok stay, but I won't return.I'll start with the positives:● Beautiful views of the Nerang River, Chevron Island and HOTA● I booked the week before Christmas at the last minute and paid less than $250 per night● The suite was super spacious with full kitchen, living area and balcony.● The pool area is quite nice, with a spa, sauna, bbq, deck chairs and river views.● Less than 5 minute walk to the heart of Surfers Paradise.● Secure car park.The not-so-positives:● Air-con isn't allowed to be set below 22°c under threat of a fine. This became a huge problem in the afternoons as the room faces west and caught not just the sweltering Queensland afternoon sun but got a double dose from the glare off the river too, the room was unbearably hot in the arvo even with the AC set at 22°.● I had my plans ruined on my second day because I had to hang around and wait for the reception to open to check in"

Moorings on Cavill was in a fantastic location on the river and only a few minutes walk to Surfers Paradise main street and beach. The rooms are a little out dated, need some work, however priced to match. We enjoyed our 8 days @ Moorings. The photo was taken from our room overlooking the river.
