Allied Moving Services

I don't often review services but I couldn't in good conscience let anyone else go through what we have. We reached out to Allied for a quote for our upcoming move to the US. Originally they were responsive and we got a quote quickly from Tina. After that first interaction the issues began. We asked if we could increase the quantity to be shipped and continuously received no email responses, no returned calls on voicemail, and even when we called the office directly and they told us she would call back she never did. Finally we got ahold of her and she gave us an updated offical quote via email that we were happy with so we confirmed and turned down the quotes from other companies. Fast forward to today with our scheduled move 4 days away she let us know that the amount quoted was a technical error and the amount to ship our items would instead of being $3450 would be $5770. Despite us having an official quote via email that says it is valid for 30 days from the date of sending they have told us they wint honour it and have offered us $100 off. With having a newborn and everything else that we are arranging for our move this unprofessionalism has made our move 10 times more difficult with us now needing to find storage for our items until we can arrange alternate shipping. Please avoid this company at all costs.

delivery from Melbourne to Brisbane…My delivery from Melbourne to Brisbane arrived with significant water damage, and damage in general. Things had been clearly left out in the wet for a significant period of time as surface mould was apparent.We have insurance but am yet to here back from the email address that I was provided.As a customer paying a significant amount of $ I expect a level of service and duty of care that was clearly not there

A bit of a mixed review unfortunately.The initial stages of communication were smooth, however the day before the removal date I did not receive a call confirming a pick up time as outlined in the quoting process. On the day of removal I called at 9am to be informed there was no record of my removal date being locked in (despite paying and receiving email confirmation). After chasing around my move manager" for a few hours

Overall a good experience moving a 3 br house from Victoria to Queensland.. Initial consult & quote was very prompt & organised. I did find my move manager was a little slow in communication once our initial connection was established & took a day or so to reply to my questions. Pick up team were excellent, very efficient & friendly. Container/s got delayed by a week due to flooding outside of Brisbane (not their fault) Unloading team were also great & put everything where it needed to go, hauling heavy items up stairs. A couple of minor dings/scratches on items put in a mixed box towards the end of packing but partially my fault due to not bothering to pack them in properly & bubble wrap them. Everything else arrived intact, nothing damaged or missing. Would recommend them as a long distance moving company.

Allied was very easy to use. We moved from Melbourne to Perth.They liaised with 3rd party companies for moving our car and pets. They did the main move of our furniture and things and were fantastic. Someone came out to our house at the start to do a quote for us so there was no guessing how big the container we needed. Highly recommended!

We were recommended to use Allied from a company that specialises in helping people move. Worst decision. They charged to professionally pack. Only professionally packed 1/2 of the items. The other half was jammed into boxes by the uplift crew. The professional packer did not take care packing and broke a sentimental item that is irreplaceable. Lost items in the move which should never of happened. Still removing stickers from items not put into boxes.Packed the main bedding in a box called clothes so that we had to open every box to find bedding.Waiting months for them to come back to me regarding the issues that we have had. Would not recommend them to anyone.

We used Allied to move us from Melbourne to New Zealand. So far I can only comment on the sending part - the service has been 5-star. They contacted us before each step to explain who would be coming and what would be happening. Aaron did a thorough and professional job of packing, and Tom and his team were polite and efficient when they came to load everything into the truck. They planned well for our situation (8th floor in central Melbourne) - even our building manager was impressed!The quote was competitive too.

Buyer Beware!Moved from Hong Kong to Melbourne, and mixed feedback here. Overall, not a happy customer.The Pros: Excellent service from the sales consultant, all questions answered and gave me a great deal. Packing was easy and professional. Delivery took a while, but they were open and honest about that, and timing wasn't unreasonable.Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE! Communication was slow, assurances made and not kept, and they added charges for no good reason that you just have to pay. As a corporation, this is fine...they just pay, but as a private client, it's very frustrating. No unpacking happened in my apartment, despite paying for this service. Was told my countertops, tables and sideboards available did not count as flat surfaces". My complaints were consistently unresolved or met with defensive behaviour.I would suggest using a different company if you want to avoid the stress of dealing with people who take their time to respond

I cannot recommend Allied enough. From the initial consult with Ryan, to the lovely packing ladies to the men who physically moved us, it was a brilliant stress free move. These guys know what they are doing!! Thank you Allied for making this move east for us, you guys are absolutely awesome!!!!!!!

Generally not happy with the service. Excessive damage and looks like a number of items were dropped and damaged. Had insurance and claimed some items but lots of bumps, scratches and damage to items. Difficult to work with for invoicing and received a number of invoices after they’d been paid. Cost competitive but comes at a cost I guess. Won’t use again.
