We were in Apollo Bay for a couple of days. After a disappointing first day breakfast at another place, we selected this place as it was the only one that had empty tables, and the food looked good.We ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes and Scrambled eggs with bacon over sourdough toast.It took around 30min to get the food, and I was just hoping that the wait was worth it… once the food arrived and with the first bite, I knew that I underestimated this place! The pancakes were honestly out of this world! Nice & buttery, with enough syrup that it did not ruin the natural sweetness of the pancakes.The scrambled eggs with the bacon were equally tasty and generous in quantity. Bacon was perfectly cooked, and the eggs were soft & fluffy. Great combination with the pancakes if you wish to mix both plates.The coffee was decent, and the staff were patient & friendly.This will definitely be the only restaurant I’ll come back to if I visit this little town. Don’t let the name fool you. They make delicious breakfast!

In my two night stay in Apollo Bay (in which I went to restaurants and cafes for every meal), Scorched Grill was possibly my favourite restaurant visited.They were very accommodating to dietary needs and had lots of options available. They have extensive breakfast and lunch menus and everything is well priced. I was very pleased with my gluten free bacon and cheese roll, and my partner enjoyed fluffy and rich pancakes.Customer service was positive- and I thought I should mention that the cafe is no longer cash only but does now offer eftpos (after reading previous reviews that said it was cash only).Overall a great cafe and I would definitely recommend it!

Varied choice of food and drink. Only vegan lunch option was a veggie burger in a GF bun, because the normal buns contain milk. We did actually approach because the breaded mushroom burger was assumed vegan, until we asked, and the mushrooms come prebreated with egg wash, so it wasn't an option. On the plus side, they added avo in my burger so I was even more happy! Thanks guys

Ridiculously overpriced for what was ordered. Spent over $80 to have an Avocado Toast, that had a full avo on one small piece of sourdough. Pancakes that were burnt. One piece of toast with a poached egg that was runny, when asked for it to be well done. Really lacklustre and the staff clearly had no idea what was going on. Would not go back.

The food here was really fresh and delicious. I had the bruschetta special which was a lively light serving. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast.

This place is one of the best caffe in Appolo Bay, The friendliness of staffs are unbelievable, we've been served by kind hearted person named PAM and she made our day and trip even more wonderful despite we have been there on a busy weekend morning but it didn't drop the quality of the service and foods. All food ingredients are fresh and the breakfast special was amazing.Highly recommend this place.
