Last time visited here there were a lot of pelican, but this time (06/01/2021) has nothing. But still a nice place to see.

The birds love to swin in the rapids. I saw them in the morning, they may have been fishing.In the evening, the sunset was orange and trees looked black in contrast to the light and lake shine.

Very impressed with what we saw out at Menindee today. With the water high it really is impressive and there were plenty of fish jumping.

MENINDEE LAKES DAM WALL.
A fairly faded signpost on the road indicates the lookout. The road in is okay but sandy in spots so take care. It was interesting to see the dam wall and the channel but sad to see how little water there is. There were cows grazing but not sure what they were grazing on as the land is fairly barren. Worth driving in to have a look.

A quiet place. Plenty of water. Great place to visit when lakes full. Great shearing shed and historic sites.
