Floorworld Mornington - Timber, Laminate, Vinyl, Hybrid Flooring & Carpet Store

I was very happy with the service, from showroom visit to at home quote to delivery and fitting of carpets. The fitters did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards.My only disappointment - and it is quite a big one - is the carpet join in our lounge room is very visible in daylight (it looks lovely with the curtains closed!). From discussion with the fitters this seems to be unavoidable given the style of carpet we have chosen. It does rather spoil the effect, and in hindsight I would have expected better information at the outset that this could be an issue with some carpet styles.

From initial consultation Mornington Floorworld (in particular Deborah Royal) through to finalisation all of our expectations were met.The floor removal company used (Peninsula Floor removals (Jarryd)) turned up on time and completed the job satisfactorily (although there was still quite a bit of dust remaining) as was expected to be.The floor layers Denis and his partner, were workaholics and began levelling and laying the flooring at about 8.45 and were finished by 3.45.An excellent job well done by all.The only criticism I have is about the Godfrey Hirst sample of the floor, both hard sample and online sample. These do not show the true features of the board (laminate board, colour Light Taup) as there are darker patches that we were not aware of at time of choosing.The job is now complete and looks modern and professionally installed.Thanks to all.

Initial consultation was ok. Then, things went downhill! From delaying installation to not properly taking levels on the floor. As a result, had to pay nearly $1000 extra to even floors by installer and more for the cement. Floor was installed well enough, but now have discovered an electrical wire was cut. Now have to pay for the repair. There is a denial this was done, even though I lost power immediately after job completed. I would advise people to deal with other companies. The whole experience was problematic and unprofessional.

Good product, would be more professional if they told you about all costs, including admin fees prior rather than “just remembering”.

I had a fantastic experience with Floorworld Mornington. They were all so helpful from start to finish and significantly cheaper than their competitors, but without any compromise on quality. The sub contractors that they used were also prompt and professional. A few days before both the carpet and vinyl were due to be laid I was contacted to check that it was okay to go ahead. When the carpet layers did some damage to the paintwork on the stairs I contacted the store and they took money off the final bill so that I could get painters in to rectify the damage. Not many companies would do this for you. My experience was excellent and I would highly recommend them.
