La Cucina di Sandra - Italian Cooking Classes

Last night, three friends and I attended La Cucina di Abruzzese cooking class. Sandra welcomed us into her cozy home, with a glass of prosecco and parmesan biscuits.We had a wonderful night, learning all about Abruzzese cuisine and enjoying the delicious dishes that Sandra demonstrated, including cuttlefish in a white sauce, stuffed mussels baked in the oven and rigatoni with saffron sauce.Sandra is very knowledgeable and a patient teacher, taking time to answer all of our questions. All of the dishes were outstanding and we finished the night with a dessert made from smooth ricotta, emulsified with lemon zest and dessert wine and served with dark chocolate, hazelnuts and crostoli!I definitely recommend attending Sandra's classes to improve your knowledge of Italian food and also for an enjoyable night with expertly cooked dishes. Even if you are familiar with Italian food, its great to see Sandra's approach that will and inspire you and refresh your own cooking.

I received Sandra's vegetarian cooking class as a gift and it was brilliant! We had an amazing time and Sandra is not only knowledgeable, but she explains in a way everyone can understand. As a vegetarian of 7 years, I still learned heaps!

She can tell you where to get the best produce at the best price, both in Melbourne and anywhere Italy. Safe to say, the woman can cook! There's so much to love about Sandra's class. I was gifted a class for Christmas and went along to the Nonna / casalinga session. I can't recommend it enough! It was fun, entertaining, easy going, intimate, informative and above all - delicious! I come from the same region in Italy as Sandra and am lucky to come from a family of chefs and cooks... and this was absolutely up there. 10s across the board for quality, taste and authenticity. We recently booked a private cooking class with Sandra as a family activity and had a fantastic day! Sandra worked with us to create a suitable menu which took into account everyone's preferences, as well as allergies etc. The food and the setting were beautiful - would highly recommend!

Not only did we learn how to make proper pasta, Sandra served us some of the best homemade food I have ever eaten. The class was great, run out of her quirky warehouse conversion house, the atmosphere was bang on. Loved it and recommending the classes to my friends. Well worth it.

We were lucky to share an evening with friends and Sandra's amazing cooking, she prepared the most delicious flavor's of Abruzzo. Sandra's Rigatoni with Saffron Sauce was the best! Her knowledge of where to get the best ingredients and market choice's is amazing. We had a Italian Feast.

We just had the most incredible evening being guests at Sandra cooking class. I’ve been to a lot of classes in the past but this was, by far, one of the best experiences. Not only was the food outstanding, but Sandra’s passion throughout the class and the knowledge she shared made this a 10/10 for me. The initiate setting made for such a unique and personalised experience, allowed time for her to answer questions and really dive into key techniques so we can confidently recreate the dishes at home. I feel like I learnt so much and we can’t wait to come back and take another class.
