Organic Strands Salon

A peculiar salon… I enjoy chilling but it was oddly quiet, not much conversation or ambience.I was sat at the table in the middle of the studio, to get my colour applied, as they didn’t have enough chairs at the mirror stations(??)I’m a new mother, who hasn’t had her hair done in a year.. my primary reason was to cover greys and tidy the ends {and perhaps feel somewhat pampered}After the hairdresser left me several times to answer the phone, it transpired that there was still a rather large grey hair, right in the middle of my parting!My hair was trimmed a laughably small amount.. I asked her if that’s all she’s taking off, she said yes… I asked twice to cut more off.After much deliberation, the grey hair was cut out and I was charged $190 for a root touch up, that left a huge grey hair uncovered… and the smallest trim in history.I queried being charged for a “blow wave”, when I merely wanted a dry off. The manager intervened at this stage, stating, “That’s our policy, we can’t check your haircut without a blow wave….”Perhaps this should be communicated to the customer.I left the salon and cried in my car. It was a really deflating experience.It’s such a shame as I was so excited to finally have a little “me time”, and visit this very highly rated salon.

I have looked long and hard for a great hairdresser and have finally found one! The team at Organic Strands are so welcoming and friendly and certainly know how to look after your hair! Olivia has transformed my hair and looks after it so well. It is always a fun and pleasurable going to my appointments! Love this team and this place!

I have been coming to this salon for a while now and will never stray. It is a gem. Olivia is a master at cutting hair-really good at fringes which is rare in my opinion. She also gives an amazing blow wave with perfect curls. The colour is good quality and hasn’t made my hair even slightly dry. Highly recommended.

Lovely studio and staff. Always greeted with a smile and warm tea. I’m always happy with my cut and walk away feeling like a princess. I love that there’s no chemicals used and the scraps of hair from the floor is swept up and donated to charity. Olivia has a great team!

My sister has been going to Organic Strands for years now and I wasn’t happy where I was going so I had no hesitation in going. Olivia is a beautiful and a very professional person. I’ve never been so happy with my colour. Cat has been doing my hair and I’m just loving the whole experience. My daughter has also started going and she’s loving her hair the way Organic Strands has cut and styled it. I’d throughly recommend this business. It’s a really beautiful salon.

Organic Strands is by far the best salon I have ever been to. I always walk out feeling so happy with my cut and colour and can’t wait for my next appointment! The service is amazing - you won’t be disappointed!!

The staff here appear friendly and helpful but really they’re arrogant and disrespectful. Not only did they not listen to what I asked, cutting my fringe much shorted than I wanted because they ‘know better’, they also laughed about my hairstyle to each other in front of me. When I provided feedback, I was told that there was nothing they could do about it, because my hair was too short on the sides. I ended up leaving with a $400 bill (ridiculously overpriced for what I got), a hairstyle nothing like the picture I showed, and even a patchy dye job, that was white with yellow streaks when I asked for blonde.Glad to know I won’t be going back here.
