What an absolute godsend these amazing people are.My Mother has been using another agency for many years and we finally had enough of the corporate mentality that she was being subjected too, that we looked for a new care agency and we very quickly realised how amazing the team at Home Instead are.Our representative's name is Michelle and you can really tell that she is in the right job as her care for Mum is so amazing. Mum had a recent trip to the hospital and Michelle called in to see her staright away with flowers in hand! She has given Mum such a new level of confidence in being at home which is totally amazing. I can reach anyone including Michelle via mobile at any time, they even have an after hours number compared to having to call a call center and rely on messaegs getting through to the right people to call us back.I am not a normal review writing, but in this circumstance, these 5 stars are totally deserved as I couldn't recomend Home Instead any higher.

After hearing many negative stories about the aged care sector I wanted to shine a light on the good guys. Navigating the aged care system to find help for my parents was challenging to say the least. My father has vascular dementia and care needs exceeding what we were simply unable to provide without the assistance of this organisation. Home Instead were excellent. From the initial conversations with Denise, Falon and Tammie to the care specialists coordinating my father's visits and the amazing people who visited and cared for Dad each day. Although each carer has been a great comfort to Mum and Dad, Mum would like to recognise Jill and Lisa in particular for going above and beyond what we would ever have expected. We cannot thank you enough.Dad is now in permanent care but his time at home was able to be extended due to the care provided by this group.

My wife's uncle is 90+ and suffering from liver cancer. After treatment he became very ill and my wife and I were unable to provide enough care. After assessment with My Aged Care it was suggested that we contact Home Instead as a care provider. This was the best suggestion ever. Now he is on a Level 4 package and we have care givers six out of seven days a week. We are both relieved as David has someone to oversee his mornings, keep the house tidy and provide assistance with food preparation, and generally keep him company. We have met many of his wonderful carers who are bright, happy women and this has been very uplifting for David. Thank you Home Instead for your help in getting the necessary care, helping through the administrative tangle and for the wonderful care givers!!

Our move into a retirement village in March 2021 caused my husband and I to physically and emotionally depend heavily on others to settle into our new lifestyle. Home Instead was the final piece of the puzzle to make the transition to community living along with home care. In the past, whatever was offered in glossy brochures on home care turned out to be unattainable due to the constant changes in Government Aged Care and Carers provision. Waiting lists for any form of care were getting longer and longer.Therefore, we did not have high expectations with a step into Aged Care assessment. This was hard and complicated. However, our struggle to access timely provision was achieved prior to our sudden need to move house from a large unit with a staircase to downsize to one easier to manage.After attending two well presented marketing seminars in years past, we had already made up our mind which agency we would go with: that would be Home Instead. On entry we were not flooded with advice, nor pressured to take it. We were not rushed, nor patronized, nor were we left wondering whether we had made the right care choices, once made. The paperwork was explained well and duly signed. Michelle and Team have taken excellent care of our needs during these past six months.The administration has been flexible and appropriate to our needs as a couple and the funding has been well handled. As promised, we have not paid any extra fees; there has been no hidden costs.The workers sent into our home were chosen by Michelle to fit our circumstances and lifestyle, as discussed with her as a couple. Each worker has been pleasant, personable and efficient. Each one has turned up on time, on the correct days (which is important to any person who is elderly).If there needed to be an alternative arrangement made on either side, or a change of staff made, we have been reliably kept informed by Hannah at the office and have never been let down in the 6 months of weekly services we have used.Our daughter, as a carer for us into the future, was included in the initial case management interview and she still feels confident that we are being well looked after. We feel secure that we have benefited from both personal supports and access to all the help we have needed so far in our beautiful new surroundings. We offer a big thankyou to all concerned.

The carers are fantastic, dedicated, caring, thoughtful. They are real heroes.Unfortunately, the Home Instead organisation not so much.My elderly dad had Home Instead carers look after him in QLD for about six years. He praised their care in superlatives.However, the carers were not allowed to communicate with us directly. We live in Sydney and everything had to go through Home Instead.I am told the carers reported to Home Instead on my dad's deteriorating mental and physical condition on a regular basis. NOT ONCE over the six year period did Home Instead pass these reports on to us. It was only after the border closures were lifted and we could see my dad in-person again did we - to our shock and horror - see how far he had deteriorated.Shame on your Home Instead.

I have used Home Instead since 2017. I have found them to be professional and they were able to supply me with carers who were well matched to my husbands high care needs and provided professional care, meeting the high standard I required. My husband really looked forward to the carers arriving each day; they are a wonderful group of people. They worked so hard to give him the best care possible each time they came. When we experienced a family emergency, Home Instead stepped up and provided me with the support that went over and above my expectations. I also found their office staff very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend.

Hi, firstly I would like to say that I am helping my parents select a new Home Care Provider service. So this is my review and not my parents as I have done most of the work to date and been so happy with my dealings with Home Instead. From Day One when I made the enquiry Michelle contacted me straight away, unlike others that were to get back to me. We had one on one phone discussions as well as group discussions with my parents and sister involved. Then finally a group Zoom call so mum and dad could meet Michelle face to face while lockdown was in place. We live in Gympie so personal meetings were not available during COVID Lockdown times. As soon as lockdown finished Michelle was up to Gympie within 2 days to complete paperwork and finalise a care program. This face to face meeting made mum and dad very comfortable with the professionalism and calming personality from Michelle who obviously knows her stuff and I hope she doesn't mind me saying so but she is a good genuine country girl nature. Within 2 days of officially taking over we had a lovely lady arrive to start cleaning and at this early stage I can see the difference in mum and dad already knowing that things will get done to their satisfaction. Other quotes have already been organised for work to be done so I'm wrapped with the service to date is are mum, dad and my sister. It's just good to see them happy. I look forward to working with Michelle and team from Home Instead in the future and as things happen I'll let everyone know. Good service shouldn't go without many thanks. Chris

Being totally committed to enabling our Mum’s wish to live out her days in her own home we had reached the stage where her care needs had become way too intense for me, her live-in carer, to manage without urgent and ongoing assistance. After a disheartening first experience with another Home Care Package provider, I got in touch with Home Instead and we were blessed with Michael Proby-Aughey as our Care Manager. We went from feeling despair to thrilled amazement at how quickly Michael organized much needed assistance. Within a couple of days we had an Occupational Therapist visit to assess our needs and a rental electric hospital bed was delivered and set up for Mum. What a Godsend! Getting Mum in and out of bed suddenly became much less traumatic for us both. Michael also organized in-home physiotherapy, podiatry, nursing services, and home and garden maintenance help. I am now able to get some rest and can feel confident again that I can continue looking after Mum for as long as needed. I must mention that the people/services being sent to us are such high quality. Impressive!Michael’s experience, empathy, and guidance in all aspects of Home Care have been invaluable. I am incredibly grateful to Michael for understanding our needs (better than I do!) and is proactive in supporting us. Thank you, thank you Michael and Home Instead.

The CAREGiver assigned to me has been above wonderful. I am so impressed with Home Instead - the Team live up to all aspects of their promise. I have been able to maintain my independence and have great confidence that I will be able to continue to do this whenever I need to call for help. Thank you to the whole Team!

Home Instead is one of the best home care organisations I have ever dealt with. They are professional and their communication is outstanding which a lot of other companies fail in this department. Special mention to Helen, Kristie & Kim who we regularly deal with and are always so pleasant.
