Tenants be careful. An agent who just sold the apartment I am renting been reaching out to me through many phone calls to ask if I can move out soon for the new landlord's daughter to move in, without mentioning this actually contradict to Victorian Tenant Law as I hold a fixed term agreement. Yesterday he even mentioned about increasing my rent if I don't move out.Even worse, before he sold the apartment they tried to convince me to move while offering" another place for me while inspecting my apartment after office hours. Please be careful and check the law!"

Shocking experience - have been trying to get in contact with the real estate for the last couple of weeks, they haven’t been replying to emails and uncontactable by phone. Moved in during Feb, and only contact has been signing the lease transfer - ever since then, I haven’t gotten a reply! Centrelink is cutting my rental assistance due to the appropriate forms not being signed by the real estate in time. Bills haven’t been accounted for and maintenance issues also not addressed. Absolutely unacceptable!
