City Beach - Midland Gate

Staff too busy chatting to each other to offer assistance.

I give City Beach a 5 star. My 2nd visit.My 1st visit was very discreet quite a few months ago.I just wanted to check their merchandise out.I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I was quite happy just browsing.No customer service approached me... thats good!Fast fwdQuite a few months later.I decided to go back there yesterday. I was looking for something special for my sons 41st birthday coming up in Feb...XXL ...and size 13 shoe...which I was a bit worried whether this store was going to cater for!!Well it didnt take me long to find the perfect outfit...I managed to find a pure linen oatmeal dressy shirt with a belted camo dressy shorts with side pockets and a matching cap for $150..only the shorts were sale price but tho. ..The young lady at tbe counter was very helpful and had a very calming nature.The young lassies on the floor were very helpful in directing me where I would more likely find XXL and I was more than impressed with one young lass who explained about the brands that I was not familiar with and she explained the comparison to more notable brands I was familiar with.All staff were smiley and exceeded my expectations thats why I'm going back to shop for my teenage grandchildrens birthdays in March and MayBtw these gifts are being shipped off to NZ.X

Bone idle staff that don't care about the customers or the company they are representing. Wanted to buy a skateboard, all skateboards were significantly damaged. Upon enquiring with a staff member, he insisted that the boards were not damaged, I showed him the damages in which he showed no I interest and still tried to charge $100 plus for a damaged board. No thanks. Took my business else where.

Dropped into this store to buy up on our trip to Perth from the north.Staff everywhere you turned. Not one approached us and my lady did see something she liked.She tried the top on and still no service. Went to the counter and the checkout staffy nearly needed a pull cord to start. Once we asked to be served he was very nice. But needless to say. We were there for jeans , tops , bathers and more. So City Beach got $45 of the $550 we spent in other shops with service.Service speaks volumes. If I was the owner paying rents and wages for 6+ staff. Id be pissed

The young ladies behind the counter were less than helpful on my recent visit. I had to ask for directions to the changing rooms and was pointed to the other end of the store whilst the two girls continued to discuss weekend plans. When asking if they had my preference of shorts in a different size I was simply told what's there is what you get." Well below what I would expect from such a well-established store franchise."

Midland store refused to sell me shoes that were on sale, stating anyone could have replaced a cheaper price tag. Is it rule that any shopping store must sell items for advertised prices, Midland City Beach dont seem to think so☹️

I buy my thongs here as they're the only ones I can wear. It's located inside Midland Gate Mall and is right next to the elevator.The reason for only 4 stars is I waited longer in line to pay than I did finding the thongs I needed. They had plenty of staff and the line was half the width of the shop long. Surely they could've put another staff member on the desk to help the poor girl who was run off her feet trying to serve everyone efficiently and fast.

This store definitely attracts the younger crowd with its trendy street wear, shoe range, sunglasses, bathers and much more.Located just below the Ace cinema at Midland Gate shopping centre, it’s very easily found.As a parent there is always something that you can find as a gift for your kids, or even clothes for yourself if you wanted.Staff are young which adds to the whole youth vibe, tho they’re also very friendly and helpful.The shop it self has a good vibe with a large range of products and brands. Sometimes too much so as sometimes when walking through the store it has a really cluttered type feel and in no way organised.They also have gift cards which is a popular option as it can get hard trying to keep up with your kids fashion needs.All in all this is a great place to look through and find that little something.
