Placed right opposite Hampton station is where you will find the lovely Sebastian Food and Wine cafe. With both indoor and heated outdoor seating, it is the perfect stop for breakfast anytime of the year. The staff were lovely and it was smiles all round. We decided to sit outdoors and it definitely was not cold at all. Keeping warm and toasty under the heating we were able to enjoy the fresh air of the seaside town.As we went at lunch time, I went for the ‘Miso Greens’ (VEG, VO, GFO) which came with steamed greens, kale, broccolini, ginger cabbage, pickle, avocado, mung bean sprouts, toasted seeds, poached egg, nori and a light tamari dressing. I also chose to have their healthy loaf gluten free toast instead of sourdough. As it came out, it looked immediately fresh and tasty. I loved the addition of the seeds to give an extra crunch as well as the ginger cabbage that cut through the other greens on the plate to give it layers. My mum, who attended with me, went for the ‘Avocado Smash’ (VEG, GFO) with Persian feta, fresh chilli, toasted almonds, lemon on multigrain toast. She said that is was amazing and fresh. She especially loved the ripeness of the avocado as well as the fresh chilli.Together we shared what they call the ‘Tasting Plate’ which I think is a really cool, unique idea, especially if you are someone that struggles to decide. It comes with:- Cauliflower fritter, kale, pumpkin hummus- Sriracha maple glazed bacon, smashed avo, poached egg- Choc raspberry waffle, vanilla custard & raspberry ice creamBoth of us loved all the elements and the fact that we could taste a little bit of everything. But we give major complements to the chef on the maple bacon, which as my mum stated was ‘the best bacon [we] have had in a long time’ She couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home. The staff were so nice and I appreciated all their hospitality. It really lifted the cafe and its food. Which was already amazing in its self. I give high praise to everyone involved with and working at this lovely cafe in the heart of Hampton.

I was lucky to come here for lunch on my birthday and i LOVED it. The service was amazing. They accommodated my allergies really well. The chef was fabulous and I had an amazing meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. The courtyard is delightful. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I will definitely be back and I've told all my friends how lovely it is.

Extremely poor service & average food.Service was awful. Got our coffee to begin but then no one returned to take our food order for at least an hour, despite trying to get the waiters attention. We ended up going up to the counter ourselves to order - no apology and rather rude service. Meanwhile, staff were delivering coffee orders across the road and vaping on their way back…Food then took 45 minutes to come out, and again no apology from staff. On top of this, we had no cutlery when our food arrived so had to wait again.Food was very average - eggs over cooked and bread hardly toasted it was soggy.I understand it was busy and you were probably understaffed, but a simple apology and letting us know there is a wait time would have gone a long way. Very disappointing.

Friendly staff and great coffees.Great atmosphere, love their peaceful courtyard, despite the train station near the restaurant. Dishes were healthy and tasty. However, the Quinoa salad was not enought tasty, lack of seasoning!Huge number of seats indoor, courtyard and sidewalk seating area. Will test more soonish.

Had the chicken sandwich and Asian prawn toast. A bit overpriced, but OK, its Hampton, its clean. Taste was ok, would expect a bit more kick on the spices from the prawn sandwich, and some pieces of prawn perhaps. We'll come back. Kudos to the waiter, he really tried to bring a clean jig of water as things kept on falling in from the wind.

They really do great coffee and at brunch had 3. However they need to improve their vegetarian offerings. Some examples, Asian influenced dish with brown rice, red slaw, soy sauce etc came with tuna or could change to chicken, but what about tofu as an option? Also majority of hot breakfast dishes, egg based, however a lot of vegetarians don't eat eggs. Again hot brunch options like burgers, etc etc all meat. How hard is it to offer a veggie burger? It's not. So best option for vegetarians is to order from the side dishes like, spinach, mushroom, tomatoes and even saganaki. Though when mine was brought out was told it's halloumi. So yes nice atmosphere, great coffee, great place to catch up with friends etc etc but not best choice if you are a vegetarian. 29.11 great to be back after lockdown though our first two reservations cancelled because of lack of staff. They have added some more vegetarian options to menu, fantastic, because as I noted in above review range very very limited. But you don't have to be told, my first vegetarian choice, Falafel salad, not available and my second vegetarian choice, zucchini fritters, yep you guessed it, also not available. So Sebastian's there is a supermarket 2 min walk away you can send someone up to get falafel and zucchini instead of saying not available. 28.2 9am today we are the only ones there eating in, never seen it so quiet!! Lovely avo smash with saganaki on side while husband kept it simple with eggs on toast. 7.1 hadn't been for ages had avo smash again as they are still quite limited on savoury veg options without eggs. Service pretty patchy though.

We had brunch at Sebastian’s today which had quite an extensive menu and is conveniently located near Hampton station. I had the porridge which was well presented but very milky and not overly flavourful however pretty good value at $14

What an amazing courtyard full of beautiful greenery and the food was delicious to both the eyes and the tummy.Enjoyed their Avocado Mash with eggs and Smoked Salmon add ons, so YUMMY. It had a very dry lemon garnish that gave a nice zesty taste to the toast. Also tried their special fresh and tasty juice. (Recommend)You can hear the sound of the train every 10 minutes, it was fine by me always like the sound of the train. But maybe not a perfect place for studying or a meeting. Can’t wait to go back again and try the rest of the menu.

Great all day brekky place !!We had the chilli scramble and the crispy chicken Bao. Amazing combo of pancetta, saganaki, eggs on sourdough with green chutney. Crispy prosciutto completed the dish.Baos were soft with perfect crisp fried chicken.Good vibes nice outdoor seating on a sunny day in Hampton !!
