Like most others who have commented, I rarely leave negative feedback, however, Jim’s Plumbing and Metropolitan are in a league of their own. I’m surprised the authorities are not onto this. It’s clearly a racket, and I would have thought a corporation like Jim’s would have more integrity. We had the same experience as others in terms of paying an exorbitant cost for some simple work. I had assumed the pricing would be reasonable and fair for the work done. When I asked Metropolitan for a properly detailed invoice I was refused. There’s clearly something to hide. Silly me for agreeing to have the work done, but I would definitely not recommend these people and would advise anyone considering them to get competitive pricing, and understand that Jim’s will not being dong the work even when you are told that the company who will attend are part of Jim’s. Also, be aware that the $140 callout fee is not refundable or deducted from the final work.

They charged me $141 as a call out fee to look at my Rheem 26L water heater which was not working .The technician came and had a quick look at the unit and mentioned that unit has to be replaced and the replacement costs $4000!!! for a unit which costs $850 and when others charge around $1350-1500 for supply and install .Poor value for money

I discovered a similar problem in my main bathroom the following day and got a different plumber to do the same work - using parts with a longer guarantee - and paid only $396. Jim's Plumbing should be ashamed of their business tactics. I would never recommend them to anyone and, in fact, will be telling everyone I know to avoid them like the plague!

Asked Jim’s Plumbing to come and service our air conditioning units (2). After charging us an initial call out fee of $140 and spending 5 mins looking at the units which require a minimal amount of maintenance, we were quoted $2,819 for a job that would usually cost $300. Also told that job could not be done before Xmas. The quote was obviously not accepted and then he sits on my verge for another 20 mins knowing he’s made another easy $140. Be warned this was a regular work day not the weekend or a public holiday.
