Voyager Tennis - Ryde Next Gen

Our kids first started tennis lessons with Voyager Ryde last December and it was an amazing introduction to the sport. They started out doing one lesson per week and graduated to two as they thoroughly enjoyed it! Jareth and his team have been amazing and accomodating to our often chaotic schedules, offering makeups where possible. We would highly recommend Voyager Ryde to everyone!

Voyager Tennis Academy, Ryde provides excellent tennis lessons, for ALL ages. My daughter has been training with Voyager since the beginning of the year, in both group and private lessons. Not only has she improved 100% over the 6 months, but she enjoys and looks forward to the lessons. On the back of my daughter's success I recently decided to take a few lessons. My coach has been excellent, very patient and offering clear, simple guidance which has seen improvements both in my tennis as well as my confidence. We sent our two sons to a holiday camp in Dec 2022. From the outset it was clear that this academy was skewed towards existing students - no intros for coaches and kids, established drills that my 8yo and 6yo had no idea about, kids immediately punished with pushups for infractions like forgetting hats and staff who were abrasive and alienated our kids for not being familiar with the military school-like structure they just walked into.As a father it was hard to watch, and if I had my time again I would've called out the trainer's for being so harsh to everyone - let alone kids who were just getting into the sport - and it will take some time for my kids to forgive me for letting them stay the whole day. They came home sunburned and teary.My strong suggestion is to send your kids somewhere much more determined to create a love for the sport rather than this gulag style military camp. It did give me a good opportunity to chat to my kids about the difference between good and bad coaches, and how we can find ways for them to learn in a way that suits them.Also, to the coach that did give a brief overview of the rules for the day (after sighing loudly and exclaiming for crying out loud" for all to hear when he realised my kids were new and therefore the briefing was required)

Jareth and Dane from Voyager have been teaching our kids in tennis for the past few years. Recently I also decided to get back on the court and have one on one coaching sessions with Dane to improve my fitness and technique. The kids really enjoy the coaches, interactive sessions and have come along way. Tennis coaching for me is now one of the highlights of my week! Steven & Nichola

I highly recommend Voyager tennis at Ryde. The coaches are friendly, approachable and always there to make sure the kids have a good time. My sons have been playing tennis at Ryde for almost 2 years. They have not only developed their tennis skills but also their appreciation for sportsmanship and love for the game.

Really happy with the progress that my 6 year old daughter has made since joining Voyager Tennis. She's now serving, rallying and scoring, and enjoying it. Great coaching team, experienced and enthusiastic. I trialled a few places before settling with Voyager, but felt like I was just paying for a weekly activity just for the sake of it. My son has been enjoying tennis with Voyager for over 5 years. Has gradually progressed with great squads and private coaching.Adam and the team have always been helpful in all aspects of the game.Voyager also provide UTR competitions at other venues.

Jareth and his team are great. My son has been attending for 2 years and we have seen a huge improvement in his game. My son had a lot of bad habits he formed that weren't corrected by the previous tennis school he attended. Between group lessons and privates with Dane those bad habits are gone. Voyagers expects alot from their students.......but the results are amazing.

Since a young age of 4, The Voyager Ryde Academy has been fundamental for my son, who has developed exceptional tennis’ skills through the years in this Academy.He’s being fortunate to have on his side coaches like *just to mention some* Ben, Dane, Adam, and Jareth who have taken him into a next level up and challenge him every time more and more.As a result, he has became a stronger player - mentally & physically. Being in a competitive level makes him to love and enjoy every single training session and every tournament he plays at.My family is so grateful for all the support, encouragement, and professionalism the coaches have had with him.Now we can’t wait to enrol my youngest daughter too. Even though, I must admit that she is not quite a sporty girl. So, the challenge for the coaches it’s bigger but we are also confident that they will help her to develop these skills.I can’t recommend highly enough. We travel at least 30 minutes to get to lesson and it's all worth it. Voyager is a place where my boys are actually learning how to play tennis (as oppose to baby sitting or just another activity) and loving the challenge. Adam is passionate about tennis and his players development. He is also very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Voyager has a holistic approach to tennis which covers sports psychology, nutrition etc which I find important as a player develops.
