New Italy Cafe
Nice spot off the road, looks closed from the outside as cafe is down the side. Free museum, clean toilets and choice of indoor or outside seating. Merlo coffee was nice and quite a few good food options. Very easy to access on/off the highway.

Stopped here for a feed and coffee with my partner and kiddos. Loved the atmosphere! Great staff! Amazing food!Clean and tidy.

If you are on the road to the QLD/ Brisbane and looking for a lunch break this is a perfect rest spot , but of history , cafe and restaurant style dining, rest area, toilets , parking, great ambience

We stopped by here on our way to the Gold Coast. A nice selection of hot food, coffee, sandwiches, ice cream and drinks. We had a cheese pizza and a sausage roll. The attached museum and gift shop are an added bonus to whittle away some time.

Coffee used to be good here, but not now. It was milky and not hot. I took it back and the second cup was better but still no creme (which wasn't understood). Please management, do yourself a favour and get staff making coffee to do a barista course.Muffins were much better than previously. No issue with service.

Wonderful cafe and museum. Anyone driving up and down the pacific highway must stop at this place. The cafe is very good. The museum and rest area an absolute gem.

Nice place to stop by on the long drive up north or back especially taking into account that not lots of cafes are available in the area. Food and coffee are quite yummy. Interesting idea to combine the cafe with the museum. Still absence of aircon could make the place quite stuffy. Also they have no ice for ice coffee etc still have a selection of ice creams. Good thing - nice toilet next to cafe - Der better than mobile option on the rest area nearby.

Stopped in for a driver's break on the way north. The only problem was that the entry could easily be missed if you weren't aware of it.There are renovations being done at the moment and some areas were not openThe coffee and the muffin were great.I wandered through the museum and found it really interesting.Spent more time there than expected.

Distinctly average. The day we were there was no water for coffee. A new car park has replaced the old parking under the shady pine trees and, for that alone, it has lost some of its character. Our toasted sandwiches were fine. Quite a bit of history to read about at the displays while you wait.

Lovely cafe located at a nice quiet stop on our drive up the east coast. The staff were nice. Food and coffee were great. Plenty of seating inside and out.
