A big thank you to today’s day surgery. Absolutely fantastic team. There was a very stressed lady there and their care and compassion went above and beyond. I couldn’t fault their care and service. Well done

Truely a joke, the discharge nurses think that they are gods, I thought their job was the care and safety of their patients, truely not the case, they are happy to discharge someone to go to a place they have been told not to send them to as it will be more harmful to their mental state but they don’t care, and very patronising,My mother walked out of a so called locked unit, got beaten up, bruised face couldn’t move her arm only an X-ray done, still in pain 2 weeks later, she needs new glasses and front teeth fixed pathetic and uncaringKatherine couldn’t care less about her patients or their mental health it’s called DUE CARE AND NEGLIGENCE

The waiting time to be seen by a doctor is absolutely terrible. My husband had been waiting in excess of 5 hours to be seen by the doctors.If a helicopter comes in, the place grinds to a halt. This only compounds the wait time even further.Something needs to be done in Atherton to address the lack of doctors. They are not taking new patients and if they do, the wait to see a doctor via appointment is over a month. They send you to the hospital.Absolutely no parking for those visiting the hospital. I was photographed by a staff member because I parked in the 10 minute drop off and pick area while waiting to pick my husband up. I pointed to the sign and was given some lip by the hospital worker who had to go around multiple times to find a parking space.This is by far the worst hospital in Australia for wait time and service. Shame on you Queensland Health.

Just want to see someone got told to sit and wait 30 minutes for a 10 second job. And they almost killed my grandmother waiting in emergency before this visit. Truly a 1 star review.

Triage nurse unhelpful and grumpy. Couldt give a toss to help out with one simple request that would have taken 1m to accomblish. Lady better get another job, as you are not doing yours! What you do if there are patients in ED waiting? Run?

Atherton hospital is by far the worst hospital I’ve ever had do deal with. I’m known locally as the frequent flyer to the ambos and the 25 yr mystery illness to the hospital. I have been hospitalised over 50 times in 25 years and over a dozen at Atherton hospital. The only treatment they have ever provided me are 2 Panadol along with a warm glass of awful tasting tap water being aware I haven’t been able to eat or drink anything for days on end.. I applied to have my records released to me so I can continue to look for answers with others doctors in Brisbane. I received over 200 pages of records that had every line blacked out in Nikko pen and then was complained at, by reception due to having to do 3 weeks work to blacken out all info. Pathetic in my opinion. Stand down the lot of them and make them accountable for the lies and lack of professionalism.that is ingrained in the culture there. Another issue - all my records from the Atherton hospital have disappeared except for 2 spider bites. Where are the rest of my records gone?

Thumbs up for the wonderful staff who we encountered when my wife and I called and attended to get our 2nd Booster vaccine on Friday 22nd July. Laura at the front desk and Annette (I think?) the Nurse were super cheerful, efficient and professional. They actually genuinely engaged with us showing interest in our travels being visitors to the area. Thank you for the care and assistance.

My eternal gratitude to the ambos who took me there (and Cairns Base) and back again, all the doctors and nurses in Atherton who kept me alive over New Years night and sent me for life saving treatment to Cairns. I owe you big time.Gerry Houska, Innot Hot Springs
