Friendly service and provide options and decorative advice!

A very disappointing experience! We had an original print that we wanted framed and spent quite a while in the shop with the owners son, discussing and selecting a frame moulding . The moulding we selected was stained timber with a clear varnish. We specified that the print was to be a float mount.When I picked up the framed print, I noticed that the timber frame wasn't right. The timber frame we had selected had been substituted with a pine frame wrapped with a printed vinyl coating, that from a distance looks like real timber.The print had been mounted incorrectly as well.When I confronted the owner about the substitution, he swore black and blue that the frame he used was what we had requested. Unfortunately, I have had this happen to me before, with another frame shop, so I was onto it. It took a lot of arguing to get him to agree to fix the problems.We didn't get exactly the frame we had wanted as he had removed the display frame we had selected previously from the shop, and we had to choose something similar.If you do use these guys, my advice is to photograph the frame moulding that you have selected as well as the code on the back. Confirm that the material you have chosen will be used for the frame. If you have had framing done at the shop it may be a good idea to check that it's not fake vinyl coated timber if real timber is what you asked for.Not recommended.
