Weekly Japanese go-to. The tantan mien with soup is amazing!! Love the udon with mince too and the karage chicken, fish cake and soft shell crab. It’s such good value for money. Tuesday nights is even better with free upgrade to large size. Our bill came to $34.

I love this place to bits! It’s cheap and simple food but really heartwarming to me. My favourite is the mentaiko udon. There’s a good variety of sides to add onto your meal. It’s a tiny venue with very squished in seating on a busy day but if anything I think it adds to the feel.

Honestly by far one of the best udon place! Reminds me of Japan! Been coming here since uni and yet I still can’t believe how affordable it is! I normally order a Kake Udon with an Ontama and pick up a bunch of different tempura to go with the udon!

Really enjoyed our meals and experience here. You may feel like the queue is long outside from the entrance but the actual wait isn't so long as they serve your food straight away at the check-out rather than waiting for your order from your seat. All the food we ordered were great and loved their way of subtle self-serving atmosphere for customers. Think this reflects well on their reasonable pricing too.

I have been going here for years even before the re-branding, and it has consistently been an amazing experience. From the food quality to the staff service. It's always amazing. Not to mention the price is so cheap compared to competitors.

The menu here can be seen outside, but it is nicely displayed. It is a place where you can enjoy Japanese home-style meals without any burden. With buffet service, you can pass by in line and get your own food right away. It's not that the quality is bad either. It's crowded with a lot of customers, but I like this kind of atmosphere without fuss. This is a place that sells daily food, so if it's close, I want to visit every day.

We finally found a Specialty Udon restaurant in Brisbane. TLDR; salty, slightly overcooked, can try. Not sure if I'll be back.Ordering style:Pretty similar to the ones in Japan and Singapore. The tempura items were not too specialty tho. The usual items like various veggie tempura such as, sweet potato, lady's fingers, onions, assorted fish cake, were missing.Menu:Quite an extensive menu, Udon, Soba, rice and curry options are available. They should try to streamline and focus on good quality udon. I think the quality of food will be much better.Price:Reasonably priced. Value for money portion size.Udon:Texture was overcooked for me. Good udon should have a bite, it should not be soggy and flaccid. Might be a one off thing.Broth:Too thick and salty. It was a notch below drinking shoyu directly from the bottle. If you've been to a few udon restaurants and kiosks in Japan, you'll know what I mean. Broth should be golden, clear and rich. Not salty rich but flavour rich. You can taste the layers of ingredients that made the tasty Broth. This, I feel is the most important part of a good bowl of udon.Meat:It was a Tuesday so we got an automatic upgrade from Medium to Large. Not sure how long this promo will last. But the portions were definitely value for money.Tempura:Batter is heavier than usual, you can tell that it's time for an oil change when it's too greasy.Takana was abit disappointing. Not as tasty as the other Japanese places in Brisbane.Mochi was a decent surprise. Very chewy skin and delicious cream filling. Will be back to give it another go. Hope the food will be better this time round. To be fair, I'm comparing it to the Japan and Singapore standards. But I'm sure they can do alot better.Had a healthy flow of customers. This place is surprisingly popular.

Food here was great with a good variety of noodles and rice dishes to choose from. The fried tempura options were good but nothing was amazing. I would return for a quick meal. Highly recommend the Udon noodles.
