Compass Meats Country Butchers

Hello I want to know if mt compass meat country is temporary going to a new store untill the new one is going to be rebuilt and want to know where abouts is going to be thankyou

I hope the supermarkets don't put this place out of business. The bacon is home cured & smoked with red gum. After sampling it We had to go back for more. I think the other small goods would be of an equal standard. We also tried the rump steak which was aged & tender & the best I've had for years. All the meat is local & the business has been going since 1935 so they should know what they are doing.

Fantastic Butcher, Gluten Free Friendly. Only problem, you will end up buying way more bacon than you planned once you smell it smoking. Love this place.They also are great with making up gluten free schnitzels if you call ahead.

Don't pass here without stopping. Thanks for doing such a great job today with our pork belly. What a great personal service. Fantastic butcher.

Lovley young guy that owns the shop, really great service, we brought bacon and ham that he makes there, so much better than others, so tasty. The fillet steak and schnitzels were also very good.

I live in Adelaide and I buy my meat from Mt. Compass Butchers simply because the product they have for sale is simply delicious. All the meat on offer is locally bred and the Fleurieu Peninsula is renowned for its quality. They are one of the very few Butchers anywhere that have aged beef on offer which most certainly needs to be sampled as it is delicious and incredibly tender. The drunken Lamb and Drunken Chicken is fantastic. This truly is a brilliant Butcher shop.Expect to pay a little more than what you would normally to pay at other Butcher shops but the quality of the meat is well worth the trip and the expense. I can't endorse this small business enough... Truly brilliant.

Stopped on the way back to town from Goolwa. Their bacon is amazing. House made and just the right amount of smoke. The butcher said is was local pork too.

Excellent lamb and mint sausages. The best I have ever had! Well done, I will keep using their services.

Recently reopened after a fire. Some of the best meat in the area. We come from Victor Harbor to shop here. Try the Rib Eye or T Bone.
