Owner of this store is extremely rude and has no customer service at all. Called up to let him know my wife had purchased something and changed her mind. He started raising his voice when I asked for a refund, as I don't need anything or want store credit. There is a nice way to go about things and then there's this grub.

Today, as I browsed in Hillbilly's, I was approached by a staff member (not the owner as I understand it) who's manner and tone was hostile. With little regard for courtesy, they asked where my mask was (I have a certified medical exemption). Would that I had parked in a disabled park and been questioned in this manner I would have seen this as inappropriate and disrespectful. I will not be returning.

I love this store. Its stocked with everything you could want and need when it comes to kitchenware. They even have items that l did not know existed. Always enjoy wondering though to see whats new. A great place to buy a gift or gift voucher if you dont know what to choose. Its located in the main street of Mount Barker very close to a Bakery and many other shops if you head further down the street. Free parking at the front of the store.

my goodnessnever before had I met a more rude arrogant person than the owner of this store! Bought a Contigo non spill bottle and it leaked so took it back and he refused to replace it or give me a refund telling me in a raised sarcastic voice that it was for water only even spelling the word W-A-T-E-R a couple of times just for emphasis!!Contacted the company after rereading the blurb about what the bottle is allowed" to hold and NO WHERE does it say WATER only. Company was horrified that he would not replace it

We came in to shop locally to fully stock our coffee and food cart, we had about 5k to spend, unfortunately as a family of 5 we had one of our children in tow, he bumped a wooden spoon he was enamoured by into a Pyrex bowl and the shop owner was very rude and told me to keep my child under control. If I hadn’t been prepared to buy anything damaged I may have been able to understand but then he stood there and creepily watched us shop, we will be going into the city with our money which is extremely unfortunate.

Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Have most homewares from coffee tampers and tea strainers to chocolate moulds and food decorations, with a fairly large range of cook ware and bake ware. Recommended just for a browse, you never know, you may find just what you were looking for :)

An absolute goldmine of a kitchen shop. Inside is a surprise. The front doorstep display of shopping trolleys and doormats not too welcoming or indicative of the high class stock inside. Helpful staff and great shopping experience

I have always enjoyed this shop but has it recently changed hands as today the couple working were so rude. I purchased few items, returned about 20 mins later to return an item as my son did not want it. They were rude, said dont do returns only store credit. I said i do not want anything else, please refund me. Not sure if be in a hurry to go back. Bad customer service skills. Even when serving me first time was unfriendly, no conversation.
