I had a haircut here last Friday 27/8, your typical short back and side type and while initially it looked alright, after washing it and trying to part my hair over it became clear it wasn't cut properly.Either side of my part line was cut at a length too short that i couldn't comb it down on top and too long on the side that it didn't blend in, it just stuck out there by itself. Especially noticeable at the back of head on the crown where it stuck out at a comically angle from the rest of the cut hair (I wonder if that is why the hairdresser didn't show me the back of my head with a mirror afterwards.)I tried to blend the offending hair back as best I could with cutters at home but I'm no hairdresser and after becoming frustrated with trying I ended by shaving my entire head.The hairdresser was as another reviewer wrote very engaging and friendly, that's why i gave three stars, it's just a shame about how the haircut turned out.

busy place but always seem to have time to fit me in sometime without an appointment , which is a rare thing in a semi-rural area. friendly staff who listen to what you want and ask plenty of questions as to satisfy exactly what you want done.

First time I've been to Gayes and I totally love my new hairstyle, I went from waist lenght, ratty looking hair to a just below shoulder lenght, long layered cut. My hair feels and looks absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Wonderfut attentive staff, affordable pricing and great service, Highly recommended. I will definitely be back when my hair needs a cut again

Cant give a price on trims or cuts. Was told I cant be given a price on a trim until after my hair is cut. No hairdresser does that. Ive always been told what it will cost before I get my hair done. Lost business from that . Id not recommend
